Most implementations are replacing WatchGuard devices and we just copy the policies over for deployment. We have a set template that we deploy for new customers and typically don't have any problems

I haven't really had issues with any of the firewalls I have used in the past. Once you know the purpose of a firewall it's just a matter of finding the settings you need.
