Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used Watchguard Network Security as the main firewall of the hospital for more than 10 years. We have implemented security policies such as HTTP-HTTPS-Proxys, SMTP-Proxys, etc. We believe you were one of the first manufacturers to become aware of the importance of APT Blocker protection. In addition, we also use it as access and control of VPNs.

The solution was sold to us by the company SIP Soluciones Informáticas Profesionales and we are very happy with their support. They set up the first most important rules and have advised us on how to do the next ones. They have also resolved the few incidents that we have had.

Implementation Rating

When we implemented the solution we did not have any experience, since until that moment we had not had any perimeter security hardware or software, so in our case, being a clean installation, the implementation was done with all the rules from scratch and was very good although with a lot of work.

WatchGuard Network Security Packaging and Licensing

From the outset, we were clear that we had to bet heavily on the solution and we chose the Total Protection license. This has benefited us over time, as it has covered some of the new features that have been implemented in the solution. On the other hand, the report management tool is very complete

SonicWall Web Application Firewall

The solution that WatchGuard Network security provides is much more powerful and feature-rich than other firewall solutions I have tried. I consider that the configuration of the product is quite intuitive within the difficulty that a firewall has. It is very interesting to be able to carry out all the configuration both through software and in the web console.
