Front Door Protection
Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We currently deploy WG FW at all our customer sites to secure the inbound & outbound traffic. We use the application security at every site to block unwanted remote access and traffic. We also use it for remote VPN access to ensure employees are using a secured VPN tunnel.
- Easy base setup of new device.
- Ease of use to blocking remote software access.
- Looking at what traffic in going through the firewall.
- Setup of functions for newbies as part of the purchase.
- Online tech support documentation is horrible.
- Cost of firewalls.
- It is more of what I haven't had to do because of a Watchguard Firewall protecting our network.
- Not needing to but another program to allow employees to VPN remotely.
- It is a great tool to blocking employees who want to gain access with there own remote software.
- The remote admin can be controlled by a limited remote access point so we don't worry about someone outside gaining access to the firewall console.
WACD purchases firewall for our customers and we deploy those firewall ourselves.
Not sure if the license package is that simple and easy. You have to be careful of what license you buy or you may not be able to remote manage them. The base security license is good but outside of that package it gets a little odd.
- Ease of deployment.
- Ease of getting tech help with issues.
- USA phone tech support for the most part.
