Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

While I was once a frequent user of Webex Meetings, I now only use it occasionally when a vendor or external contact needs to meet with me online and they do not have access to MS Teams or Zoom. When used, Webex Meetings provides excellent online meeting experience, good audio, and video streaming.

Pros

  • Online training by third-party vendors
  • Sales/marketing calls with outside organizations
  • Meetings with outside organizations.

Cons

  • Offer a learning management system for scheduling and tracking online course participation
  • Add features similar to MS SharePoint - be an alternative to MS SharePoint
  • Add features similar to MS Stream and Brightcove - be an alternative to MS Stream and Brightcove
  • Add features similar to MS Teams - be an alternative to MS Teams
  • Important to external communications with third-party organizations, individuals, and external training.
  • Not very important to internal communications and training since MS Teams already has built-in tools that do that.
  • Saves time and $ with travel when meeting with external organizations and individuals.
  • Cisco AnyConnect
VPN reliability was sometimes spotty. Some days I could log in, but not have access to company servers/platforms. Other days, it works fine.
The VPN component of Cisco's hybrid work solution is vital to operations when I work remote and/or travel. I would not be able to perform my job if I did not have Cisco AnyConnect.
The hybrid work model makes my work experience more efficient and productive as remote work reduces interruptions that are common in the office workspace. However, be advised that more and more of what I do is happening inside the Microsoft ecosystem, and less via VPN.
- Microsoft Teams is convenient and ubiquitous in the microsoft ecosystem at work - no need for another options - Zoom appears to be more commonly requested by our third-party organizations - Microsoft Stream for training videos is convenient and ubiquitous in the Microsoft ecosystem at work - no need for another option.

Webex Meetings is an excellent product when I need to meet with third-party institutions and outside vendors. It is not well suited for the Microsoft Teams/SharePoint environment since Microsoft already offers audio/video conferencing in that ecosystem. It is also not well suites as an LMS system to track and record student participation and qualifications.
