Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses
Webexpenses is used company wide by all employees at our company to track expenses, company car mileage and credit card expenditure. I personally find it really easy to use and the smart technology behind the platform is great. (i.e. auto populates information from receipts etc) - it saves a lot of time.
- Auto populates information from photographs of receipts.
- Easy mileage tracker and the option to change routes.
- Automatically uploads credit card transactions.
- The mobile app is also very good and easy to upload photos of receipts, etc.
- It's definitely saved time for me, so I can use my time doing my actual job.
- Some of the functions could be difficult to get your head round, but once you're using frequently it's a really good system.
At first the platform does seem quite daunting; however once you get your head around how it all works, it's actually quite simple. The system, I feel, is really user friendly and the mobile app is as good as the desktop version too - both really easy to use. The prompts you get if something doesn't quite line up are really useful too and saves you from some embarrassment or future problems.
I have only used the system for claims submissions, however it does save time. I came from a company that used a system that took a lot of time and cross checking etc. However, this system is really easy to use. The auto compiling of claims and the auto linking between claims and receipts is really handy and saves time! The approval process is really simple too, once submitted it sends to my line manager who can approve and/or comment and reject if something isn't quite right!
I wasn't involved in the purchasing of the system, so my rating is based on how useful and easy the system is to me as a user.

For field based roles who travel a lot, it is perfect. Easy to use on desktop and mobile app, and they speak to each other really well! For roles that don't have many expenses, mileage claims and/or credit card claims, then a conventional expense sheet etc may be suffice, but even then I would still recommend Webexpenses. Definitely saves time, instead of sifting through receipts etc at the end of the month!
