Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

We use it for all staff to submit expense claims, including mileage, CPD accommodation, equipment and catering. We used to use excel spreadsheets which staff had to individually submit via email to a single person in the business. This wasted a large amount of administration time so using a purpose built piece of software is much better.

Pros

  • Useful app
  • Can take photos of receipts
  • Can add multiple items to one claim

Cons

  • Ability to use one receipt for multiple items e.g. one petrol receipt for multiple journeys
  • Ability to remember previous claim items to pre-populate e.g. common journeys
  • The arrows to open and close the tabs when editing a claim online can be confusing
  • Reduced administration time
  • Better trackability (compared to email)
  • More accessible due to app
Generally good but the web interface is a bit clunky.
Not tried any others. (Other than excel spreadsheet).

Good for mileage claims. Good for large items that need to be paid quickly e.g. yearly parking charges.
