Overall Satisfaction with Wistia

We use Wistia in a variety of purposes from sharing video internally to hosting it for email, social and website embedding. The decision to use Wistia rather than simply posting the video on YouTube was based off of multiple pieces. For instance, our videos on YouTube frequently had suggested videos and ads for competitors that you don't get with Wistia. We are also able to use reporting features and the turnstile helps us collect information from viewers.
  • Reporting for who is watching videos, how long and how many videos.
  • Collecting information such as name and email through the turnstile.
  • An excellent way to organize videos through projects and sections.
  • The learning center is an excellent benefit to help increase the quality of your videos.
  • The community is full of experts that are happy to help with any questions you may have.
  • The support from staff is fantastic.
  • The only con would be that the turnstile does not currently have a phone number option to add.
  • Increased lead conversion through HubSpot turnstile.
  • Better customer service since we are able to show our product better than with photos.
Wistia is better suited for businesses than YouTube and Vimeo as you get a more in depth look at your viewers, how many videos they are watching, how long they are watching or re-watching, and can get email addresses to connect with then. Although we also upload videos to YouTube for searchability, all of our social media postings and videos embedded on our website are from Wistia.
Wistia is well suited for companies that want to turn videos into a lead collecting machine. Although, it is also a fantastic tool for any businesses that use video (internally or externally). The reporting helps gauge what pieces of videos are capturing the viewers' attention and where you may be losing them. I can't think of any scenarios where someone would not benefit from Wistia.
