Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

  • Centralize projects in one solution
The product helped us [create] the tools necessary to create a simple intake and workflow process. This process has since helped us to quickly and more accurately process the work that comes into us for entry. The reporting functions have added insight into the processes we've created and have added a data element that allows us to continually improve our processes as we learn more about the Workfront tool.

We were using a very old version of Basecamp that would be suitable for a small business. Considering the campaign and project volume our teams put out, it was not a great option for us. Workfront really gave us the workflow solution our team needed considering our size and throughput.
I don't feel our team has enhanced our internal or external collaboration due to no fault of Workfront. Our teams are actively engaged with internal and external clients regardless of the tools we utilize. While the tool makes it easier to collaborate with external partners, I wouldn't credit Workfront with adding the capability.

Well suited scenarios include marketing and communications workflow. Though our company doesn't use it as an IT solution currently, I would think the functionality would work well in an IT setting.

A scenario where Workfront is ill suited is a financial reporting tool. There is no easy way to add or upload financial data to get an idea of the project cost.
