Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
It was being used by project managers at my firm to manage project schedules and budgets, with a web based tool that allowed for multiple projects to be managed at one time, from one application and easy measuring of project health at the portfolio level.
- Handles management of multiple projects in one location
- Stores all project details in the cloud
- Provides access from location with an internet connection
- Configuration and project setup feel a little bit more complex than they could be and that I’ve experienced from other tools
- There was a learning curve by Some members of our team which slowed the adoption
- There is so much functionality that it can almost feel overwhelming
- Reduction of administrative support staff was facilitated by adoption of this tool as it allowed budgeting, scheduling, etc to be done digitally and did not require the level of support staff our office had previously required
- Some of our staff had trouble adopting to this tool as it can feel difficult to navigate and less than intuitive at times. Getting around can feel frustrating at first, but once I learned my way around the tool I realized how useful it is to me and our PM staff.
Far easier to use than MS Project, easier to navigate and learn, but far more complex (albeit more functionally sophisticated as well) than Smartsheet.
