Overall Satisfaction with Wrike

The Marketing team uses Wrike to manage campaigns and workflows, including creative processes, reviews, and other project management needs. The subsidiary teams within our Marketing department also use Wrike to manage their additional work, including intranet communications, Customer Experience tasks, and social media calendar management.
The customizable workflows allow for various team members to ensure that Wrike's functionality can be adapted to complement their team's needs.

Pros

  • Customizable workflows, including programmable automation to make tasks "smarter"
  • Public forms and guest review features make it easy to collaborate with others in the company that don't use the tool themselves
  • The UX is pleasant and users can utilize different "view" styles to manage their work in the manner that works best for them

Cons

  • Add the description field to table view
  • More nuance could be added to automation to further its capabilities
  • There aren't many options in terms of having a task/project/folder "inherit" tags/features/etc from parent items, which can at times make labeling work more tedious than it needs to be
  • Wrike continues to give visibility to project work and help individuals be more responsible for their own tasks
  • The added visibility also simplifies accountability
  • It's much easier to work in one location vs tracking down several documents
We do not utilize the AI, but the automation is great. I have used it extensively in the space I manage. Between blueprints and automation, it's much easier to create tasks in a way that they automatically behave in the way(s) they need to make my workflows more seamless. Being able to do "if/then" syntax for the automation allows for so much customization. Every once in awhile I've run into something that I can't do with the automation, but usually I can at least partially accomplish what I'm attempting.
It does take some time and work to really understand and use it properly, but I think the accessibility to help and documentation make that completely feasible. Once you know how to use it, I find it to be very user-friendly, and have very few complaints.

Do you think Wrike delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Wrike's feature set?

Yes

Did Wrike live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Wrike go as expected?

No

Would you buy Wrike again?

Yes

I think that Wrike is customizable enough to fit most needs, so I would generally recommend it as a starting point to anyone that is looking for a project management tool. Some people on my team don't like it, but I think that is moreso due to lack of exposure than any flaws in the tool itself. I predominately taught myself many of the features, and I found it to be straightforward. There is lots of great documentation out there, plus the community forums are incredible helpful as well. Wrike might not be THE perfect tool for every single need, but I think that there would be very few situations where it would ultimately be incompatible with a team's workflow needs.
