Overall Satisfaction with Xero
We use Xero as our Accounting Software for our growing photography business. It is used by 2 users in our company to enter our sales and manage our bank accounts and reconciliations. Xero makes the often dreaded job of accounting very easy and manageable.
Pros
- We love that Xero imports our transactions directly from our banks accounts for easy reconciliation.
- Xero's multi user capability is a huge benefit to us.
- We love that it's cloud based so that we can access it anytime, anywhere.
Cons
- The team at Xero worked hard to convert our Quickbooks file to their format, however, we ended up needing to manually convert our books, which was time consuming to do.
- It has definitely decreased the amount of time we spend on our accounting. Come tax time, this is a huge benefit and cost/time savings for us!
We were never able to easily import our bank transactions through our QuickBooks software, which made accounting a dreaded and time consuming tasks. QuickBooks was also almost too robust for our basic accounting needs, so having a much easier to use system has been a great change for us. We chose Xero because it was cloud based, was easy for our other employees to gain access, and worked in sync with our bank accounts.
