Overall Satisfaction with Xero
We use Xero as our accounts package for our media business. We use the product online, and we are using the app. It is used by our accounts department and also for the directors to pull off reports. It is a must for all businesses and is a cloud-based software. It allows us to use the product anywhere where there is an internet connection.
- Xero is cloud-based software, unlike the sage product we were using, which allows us to have access from anywhere.
- Xero links up with lots of other products we use to streamline processes.
- The app does not update straight away - when looking at the P+L, and it doesn’t show the same figures as it does in the browser in real-time.
- When you move from another provider, you have to set up new categories for costs and income.
- Xero has allowed us to be more efficient, which has meant we have not had to increase staff as we have grown our number of invoices.
- It has saved us from paying for other products like Log Me In to access our server.
We used this product before it was cloud software, so the comparison is harder to make. It was easier to pull off top spender reports from sage. However, reconciliation is so much easier on Xero when you link your accounts. A significant factor for us was that our managing accountant uses and prefers sage and helps us when we need it!
