Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow
We use Ziflow for internal creative reviews, proofing, and pre-client reviews. We use it for social post images, collateral, direct mail, websites and videos. It is currently being used by the entire marketing department and we may expand to client use in the future. It has help speed up and organize our approval process by centralizing and formalizing the reviews.
- Ziflow accepts multiple file formats, from images, to videos and live website URLs.
- The markup tools are intuitive.
- The email notification of a new proof makes it easy for me to find what needs to be addressed quickly.
- We still proof and review PowerPoint and Word documents directly in the files because the markup and history built into the programs are better than Ziflow.
- The process for adding minor proofs and stages, plus adding or changing the people on the proofs is a bit confusing and doesn't completely align with the process we have. We have adapted, but it's still not a clean transition and can be confusing.
- While the interface is easy to understand for some (me!), it is too complicated for others. There are ways to customize and set your preferences, but until one figures out how to set things to their liking, it can be confusing and frustrating to them.
- Ziflow allows multiple users to comment on a file at once. We used to have to lock files when someone was commenting or run the risk of comments not being saved if multiple people downloaded the file around the same time.
- Ziflow has (partially) centralized where we go for feedback. This saves time when searching for the files.
- As with any new thing, there has been a learning period and certain people who don't like the change.
As stated earlier, being able to review multiple file-formats has allowed us to centralize and simplify how and where we give feedback. The flow from version to version, minor version, or new stage is a bit confusing and isn't quite apples-to-apples with our process.
I like that you are able to tag someone when you want their input. I wish we could integrate Ziflow with our project management program (FinancialForce).

I don't know the name of the software from my previous company. It was similar, but not as robust. Adobe Acrobat is the most similar, but it doesn't compare.
