Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom in my department when we need to share screens during a meeting that includes more than one location. This typically is used during training. It is helpful to be able to see a user's screen to show them how to use a system. This is much more productive than trying to complete system training via phone only.

Pros and Cons

It is user-friendly; easy to use.
It's intuitive; easy to navigate.
Using Zoom increases productivity; saves time.

I can't say that there is anything that is hard to use. The only issue I've run into is having the connection drop and having to get reconnected. I don't know if that happens as a result of an issue with Zoom or whether the issue is our internet connection.

Return on Investment

We definitely see improved collaboration.
It's a time and frustration saver.
Increased productivity.

Alternatives Considered

I have not used other products like Zoom.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom is super for remote system training. Before we used Zoom, we would do this via phone and people had to try to verbally describe what they were seeing on their computer screen which can be very frustrating. Now, we can share screens and see what people are describing—just point and click while having a verbal conversation. This is a great timesaver and makes training so much easier.
