Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is being used across the whole organization, for meetings and distance learning classes. Our Admin Department meetings are also done through Zoom. It allows for less travel time and helps to save money. It is used for remote teaching so instructors' lessons can be shared at several locations. It is also used for remote workers and the like as well.

Integrates with many other apps such as Kaltura.

Alternatives Considered

Polycom RealPresence Group Series and BlueJeans

Hardware is better on Poly RPG but it is more expensive. BlueJeans' audio is better than Zoom but harder to operate.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for meetings and classes.
Less appropriate for foreign language calls due to lower quality audio (pots grade) in some areas.
