Overall Satisfaction with Zoom
Zoom is being used daily for IM, HR interviews, Company-wide remote meetings, and client meetings. We are looking into adding a small zoom room and utilizing the webinar feature more frequently. In addition, Administration uses the chat function to see who is available and if anyone is in meetings, presenting, or out of office when directing phone calls.
Pros
- The quality of Zoom is superior to other options. There's less static and dropped meetings.
- There are more options on Zoom then other companies on the meeting feature.
- User-friendly! Great ease of use.
Cons
- View of availability in chat mode: we would like availability to be more prominent.
- The notification is not as noticeable: I miss incoming messages frequently.
- The ability to split meeting invites: to send different messages to different groups of team members within the same invite.
- Improved collaboration
- Improved audio quality
- Missing messages in chat - not as noticeable
We were told we cannot use Zoom Phone, although that is one of the primary reasons we switched from Skype, which is disappointing.
- Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
More features, fewer dropped calls, fewer audio issues.
