Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
To support our online meeting collaboration with clients and internal work.
Pros
- Provides secure and reliable meeting platform to conduct video based meetings.
- Provides easy to use platform for first time and advanced users to effectively participate.
- Integrates with google very well to make scheduling meetings with Zoom without toggling to multiple tools or screens.
Cons
- Find new ways to demonstrate successful uses of advanced features of the video platform. How are people white boarding together?
- Advance the ai note taker to be BETTER than fathom, not just a step behind. Even for features that are equivalent, they tend to roll out 1-2 updates after that particular tool. It company’s effort to reduce use of those tools very challenging without forcing staff.
- Focus on #2 above and stop pushing uses of features my company at least will never use - like the phone feature.
- Improved call collaboration for a fully remote team. We are able to stay connected very well with a tool we use easily and trust.
- We started using Zoom very thoroughly during the pandemic - like most people. Before that we were primarily a remote firm of consultants. I traveled over 100 nights per year, visiting clients. Since then, I only travel 4 nights per year to visit clients. All of the work I was doing and selling has continued to be remotely performed because of Zoom. Most of those costs were paid by our clients. By adapting to a successful model of delivering our work remotely, we are saving each client around $10,000-30,000 while producing the same value and outcomes from our work.
Not all that much. That tool remains a step or two behind fathom. And we had a few early adopters of that tool who strongly prefer staying with the tool that is ahead.
we would love to see that tool be THE leader. We also need more customer marketing content that easily shows how this used outside of Zoom. Easy integrations to our CRM (HubSpot). That exists. But HubSpot shouldn’t be the one that shows that to me. Zoom should. Instead we are pushed to use the phone system - an advanced product from the 1990’s. I’ve not made a call on a phone to a client in over a year. And I use my cell phone to make internal calls to my team about once every 4 weeks.

They were the leaders in 2020. So we picked them then. And because google and Microsoft don’t play well together, we have avoided crossing to teams as a google for business customer.
