Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
We use Zoom Workplace for external meetings due to universal familiarity and ease of use of the product. This minimizes issues with people joining the calls - especially presenters - and provides a smoother experience since the presenters are generally familiar with running meetings in Zoom Workplace.
The quality of the recordings are very good as well.

Pros
- The quality of the recordings is great. We don't have to worry about pixelated or blurry recordings.
- Ease of use. For the general populace, it is easy to use or figure out.
- Recording management as an admin is easy to use if an employee is terminated and the recordings need to be moved or saved.
Cons
- Cost could be a bit more reasonable with the improvement of similar competitor apps such as Teams. Adding features to the license that most likely won't be used doesn't make it easier to pitch against Teams meetings that is already paid for in our M365 licensing.
- I wish that with the emergence of AI, that as a presenter there could be text pop ups that either guide the presenter what to do or let them know what they are sharing - things like this to help them be at ease and not wonder if they are doing it wrong.
- For instance, when sharing Powerpoint and sharing the presenter view instead of the participant view.
- Zoom Workplace has improved the experience of all attendees and presenters with the ease of use of the platform. Less issues = less headaches and awkward delays = more enjoyable experience, which improves the impact of the meetings.
- Due to cost, we had to make cuts to licensing where use-case could not be justified vs using Teams meetings.
Zoom Workplace was in place before we had Microsoft Teams, so it was grandfathered in.
But when comparing Zoom Workplace to meetings features in our various phone systems over the years, as well as meeting platforms like UberConference, gotomeeting and MS Teams - I think Zoom Workplace is still the best.
