We have several campaigns to fundraise money, and each campaign is targeted to a specific audience. When it comes to reaching many people with various demographics, Adobe Campaign is perfect because it helps us understand our marketing and our targets. When we have a small scale venture then it is not so helpful because we don't need something with so many elements and customization features, we sometimes just need simplicity.

Right On Interactive

Right On Interactive is well suited if you need to bring in lots of data from numerous sources and be able to reference across tables to build a detailed segment. This also lends it to being more useful when a company has people that know data and have the time to dive deep into it to build lists. For teams without multiple people or dedicated people to use the system it can be cumbersome.

Cons

  • Neolane is not very user-friendly, especially when using it to store a marketing database and blast email campaigns. It took multiple training sessions for casual users to understand and be ready to use the tool.
  • The Neolane Leads module is not adequate for the extensive lead qualification we do. It was necessary for us to build a separate system and then link it back to Neolane.

  • The interface is improving in recent months but it still has a way to go to catch up to competitors.
  • The system seems to be reactionary when building out campaigns instead of more proactive. You can go through the entire campaign setup and forget to check one box at the very start and have to go all the way back to just pull in a piece of personalized data.
  • Could use more integrations with marketing softwares.

We feel that Neolane really adds value to our organization and has allowed marketing to progress - storing databases more efficiently, sharing campaigns across the world, pushing leads directly into our CRM system. We are very invested in the tool since we took a good bit of time to customize it, so I anticipate we will renew our use.

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Campaign is a leader in the marketing automation platform space. I would put it directly against the Salesforce Marketing Cloud as they are nose to nose in terms of leading features. For our clients, Adobe Campaign makes the most sense if they already have some investment in other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions.

  • Open rate of emails have had a big jump from averaging 12% across all offered subscription to 30-45%.
  • Deliverability increase with sender score reflecting 95+ from what use to be high 70-88.
  • New intelligence allowing us to increase conversion in the shop.

  • It saved us a bunch of money in getting a higher tier of SFDC. The workflows it allowed us to create (using their staff writing MySQL) saved us having to double our SFDC spend to get workflows.
  • It allowed us to easily send emails to people added into SFDC campaigns buy external sales staff which saved time from manual emails.
  • The time it took the marketing team to create the campaigns could've been faster.
