• Hive syntax is almost like SQL, so for someone already familiar with SQL it takes almost no effort to pick up Hive.
• To be able to run map reduce jobs using json parsing and generate dynamic partitions in parquet file format.
• Simplifies your experience with Hadoop especially for non-technical/coding partners.

• Surveys and Forms via the "Forms" function: Creating surveys (anonymous or not) and forms (with or without required fields) for data collection that automatically organizes the inputs in columns that are easy to export to excel.
• Automations: You can build in reminders, via text or email, to individuals at any frequency. You can literally build out an entire workflow through automations. While it may take some thought and a little time on the forefront, the efficiencies it builds in over time is quickly made up.
• File housing / control: There's a "file" capability that allows you to attach a file to a line item, which helps with the most recent file housed in one place where the current status or updated date column can be notated alongside it. Again, truly customizable to your business need.
• Communication: There are many ways to openly communicate and "ping" but you can also build in automated reminders that are customized messages based on the specific project/need. So it's not your typical canned "monday.com reminder, click here for more," it's "-- Kelly needs your feedback on by EOD today. Please update status to "reviewed" when completed." Little things like this go a LONG way when you're targeting a specific audience for a precise need.

• Use Hive for analytical work loads. Write once and read many scenarios. Do not prefer updates and deletes.
• Behind scenes Hive creates map reduce jobs. Hive performance is slow compared to Apache Spark.
• Map reduce writes the intermediate outputs to dial whereas Spark operates in in-memory and uses DAG.

• Automations should reflect who the item / pulse was actually created by, not who created the monday.com instance or the automation itself.
• It would be great if we could use the tool to manage timesheets for our team.
• The reports and dashboards could use a little more flexibility / functionality.
• Automations should be expanded to include Microsoft Exchange users, not just Outlook and Gmail users.
• Would be great if we could better tailor how email notifications look.

• It exposes the distributed calculation world (Hadoop) to the users but doesn't require the user to have the in-depth understanding of boilerplate details, it reduces the time of learning and let the data analyst can focus their efforts on the core business.

• Easy setup of project management and the tracking of projects at a glance.
• We were able to customize to make it very employee friendly so adoption is high.
• Once we were able to set up templates, the time it saves to get a project up and running is just minutes compared to hours!
