Awardco vs. Tango Card

Awardco has something for everyone. I have employees in a variety of age groups and some want to travel, some want a tangible item, and others feel like they don't really need/want anything so they choose a gift card so they can use it how and when they choose. Awardco allows that flexibility. Also, if the individual isn't ready to make a selection right away, they can save their points to use at a later time. If an individual would like to select an item larger than their award amount, they are not able to add dollars to their personal account, which may cause some frustration to an individual.

If you use this program to provide gift cards make sure to warn the recipients to use them asap! In my experience, strange things can happen with on-line purchases. Maybe send a reminder to the recipient explaining that Tango is "banking" on you not to spend all of the funds.

• I would like the system to be able to send email notifications to more than the employee and the HR Manager. It would be great if we could include the manager and the GM as well. Now I just forward the message to the others.

• The initial setup of the API with all the ACH info was a bit complicated.
• The only speedbump (not big concern) is the branding of a Tango Card - when saying that to recipients, they don't "get it" immediately and some quick-to-judgement folks can say they don't want it.

It’s not super user friendly compared to other apps I have used in the past, and it also offers not as many partners. One feature that would improve it, would be connecting award bucks to a digital credit card. That way employees can spend it on what they want without having to get a visa gift card which is the current solution/ work around

I am giving a "middle of the road" rating of 5 because I don't have experience with Awardco support. I have never had to reach out to the support team for anything, so I don't have any substantial feedback in this particular area. The program is so easy to use, so I've never needed to contact the support team.

Giving it a 9 only because I haven't been using it for more than 6 months but that said, I've had enough projects and redemptions to get a full understanding of its performance. TANGO CARD just works better than the rest for the redemption experience for the end recipient.

It was very in depth and easy to understand. There was a dedicated person that was assigned to our account and that made it easier to move forward. The process was very easy to follow

Motivosity is hands down better. Easier for companies with employees in multiple countries, easier to spend the money you receive, easier to gift the money, easier to interact with and more user friendly. However, Motivosity is also more expensive and I find that cost is hard to swallow when you want to just invest the money into employees

We liked Tango Card much more as it was easier to use and had more flexibility within our company. It allowed us to be more creative as well. The scale of cards and ease of use, both front and back end were huge decision points for us. Everything about Tango Card appeared to be much better than Tremendous and we are happy with our choice.
