Basware AP Automation vs. Budgy 2 vs. Emptoris

The system works well as an inter-company work-flow tool. Very helpful when and for invoice processing requires involvement across several different departments

Any company who needs more monitoring and has frequent contract language changes due to negotiations with parties can utilize the Emptoris Contracts software to a greater extent. Key Business Questions that are answered on Emptoris:

• More clause language.
• Multiple language support
• Maintenance of the contracts during the life cycle.
• Bringing Legacy contracts into new system and its maintenance.
• Monitoring the contract and important remainders based on contract.
• Complex contract approval process due to the business complexity.
• User roles and responsibilities - Privileges.
• Version comparison difficulties.

Many more.. There are good amount of features on Emptoris that can be used, which improves the business process cycle times.

• Basware is fast and reliable. Very rare down time during the time we've been using it.
• Great support team. Our needs were addressed timely and efficiently.
• Basware provides us with great customer service. We have had many modifications to our specific needs and Basware worked well with us for our customizations.

• It consolidates the budget after invoicing in a summary.
• All your receipts and invoices are managed on one platform.
• It is also a single platform to see all your P50's, P2P and order in one place (statement of work)
• It a good tool for managing projects.

• Once you cancel the document in "cancellation queue" it cannot be restored or viewed.
• Sometimes but relatively rarely the program opens slowly.
• In rare instances the program freezes and needs to be restarted.

• The only thing I would like to see is that is can hold mutiple attachments under the language tab.
• I would like to see a function that allows all credentialing materials to be attached to Emptoris and sent to the next step as one complete package.

We will continue using product and continue renewing as it is widely used product and it has been well adapted by users in our organization. The product is expensive but we will use it. Hopefully the product bugs will be fixed in future and they will provide more HA architecture feather for Basware.

There are a lot of new, exciting products coming out in every field and I believe that there is always something better right over the horizon. If it was my choice, I would review my usage of Emptoris and other software periodically to make sure I'm using the most efficient software possible.

The above rating for the overall support from Emptoris is for their product / product support, roll out training and refresher training / ongoing training, which is not only good but superior. There is no major or reconizable bad review that can be given to Emptoris at this point in time, from where is stands.

I have only used Basware Purchase to Pay in my organization, however it is such a good software that my company decided to keep using it for next years.

We eventually selected Apttus because of its close ties to Salesforce and quick implementation process. We were able to get the application installed and live in just a few weeks. For our purposes, it was a much better fit for us to generate and store contracts for our company without having to force a link to procurement.
