Pricing is based on how many contacts are imported into the Donor Management System. All packages have unlimited users, unlimited campaigns, unlimited peer-to-peer pages, unlimited emails and communications, and optional events and auctions. All packages also include support and data migration.
Great program pricing year 1, year 2 is OK, but worried about year 3 pricing however still better than Salsa pricing. User experience was much easier to navigate than others

Bonterra Network for Good suits our needs for tracking donations, adding contacts, and categorizing them for email blasts, text messages, videos, and newsletters. We always know each contact's donation status, whether they're a "new donor," "active donor," or "lapsed donor." This software is very user-friendly. And if you have questions, "Ask Que. It's great!! This software is also affordable. We love it!

Salsa Engage provides a robust interface to Salesforce--our primary CRM--allowing non-intervention synchronization to categorize supporters into groups for email communication. As we are only six months into our implementation, we have not found areas where it's not appropriate to use beyond nit-picky synchronization delays and smart group updates.

Autoresponders and automated emails have been really cool and simple to use, that tool in itself has added a lot of value and has been a powerful way to keep supporters engaged.
Donor management is one thing that Salsa CRM gets really technical with. There is so much information that you can have on each donor.
I like the forms and how easy they are to embed on the website, like email sign up forms or donation forms. I can make them look seamless as they sit on the website and gather information and donations.

In exporting reports, it would be helpful to have a "select all" option so you can easily select everything without having to manually click each one.
In exporting reports, it may be helpful to have the option of saving various options for different needs so you don't have to manually click or unclick each choice every time, as you can currently only save one type.
It would be helpful to be able to change an event/ticket information after it has already gone live for sales as we recently had an issue with this.

When we started with Salsa, not every option was available online, some were desktop specific. As it has been some time since I worked with Salsa these have probably been resolved.
The ability to communicate between Salsa CRM and other Salsa software options. Sometimes the crossover was not as efficient as was needed.
Tagging and setting up rules for particular donors was somewhat confusing - meaning, therefore, that the amount of training needed to implement the software was somewhat intensive.

We are still learning and rebuilding our nonprofit using this platform, so this year is a trial run to see how we can increase our network and our donations. So long as we are able to see a significant return on investment in terms of donations received through the platform, we will renew for next year.

I gave a usability rating of 10 because Bonterra Network for Good is a very simple software program. The program is set up so it's really easy to learn, especially with the great resources they have available. It's also really easy to use - it's very user friendly and intuitive. You can also easily contact a representative who can help walk you through whatever you need.

In 5+ years we have never had an issue with it not working when we needed it to. It is very reliable and doesn't seem to have a lot of bugs or interruptions in service.

It is always fast for us and reports have a very quick upload time. We don't integrate it into other programs so I'm not 100% sure about that, but it always works when we use it and is very reliable. Even when we run Excel files for complete information on donors, it always works very fast.

Most of the time they are quick and friendly and help me resolve any issues. There have only been a couple of times that we couldn't find a resolution and I was just told that NFG didn't have that capability.

Support response has been swift and knowledgable, though not always the answer I've wanted. One huge design flaw is if I add a new Salesforce field to sync, Salsa Engage will not sync it unless it has changed since the last sync, requiring me to fake an update for an entire database or re-sync the whole enchilada. Better to recognize it's a new Salesforce field and perform the sync en masse.

The implementation of using Bonterra Network for Good within our organization went very easily, with no large issues. We had help internally as well as from one of the Bonterra Network for Good representatives who helped to get all of our data imported seamlessly. It was an easy process that they walked us through.

The main difference, in my opinion, was that at Network for Good we had a representative who helped us when we couldn't solve a problem ourselves. At Bloomerang, I had to go through several channels to reach someone. (Once I did, we haven't had an issue since.) We like Bloomerang's products (Qgiv - Bloomerang Fundraising) and the communications tools. We wish Bloomerang had texting as Network for Good did. Ultimately, though, we have found that FundraiseUp has the best donation page option for our organization.

Salsa Engage is one of the easier products to set up and use, but with that comes limitations. If you want something simple, this works, but if you have more complex needs, then you'd be better off investing in another system that requires more set up work, but provides more customization and robust reporting opportunities.

Minimized the resources necessary to run an online presence. For instance, one moderately tech-savvy person can handle it.
Provides a pathway to increase the number of events the organization can manage.
By being part of a larger group of non-profits that utilize Network For The Good, we receive additional assistance and ideas from related organizations.
