Cloudflare, from the company of the same name in San Francisco, provides DDoS and bot mitigation security for business domains, as well as a content delivery network (CDN) and web application firewall (WAF).
ClickGAURD is highly suitable for detecting and preventing fraudulent clicks and helps generate higher revenues with the same marketing budgets. The reports created by ClickGUARD are also very helpful in understanding the impact and returns on the campaigns. It also helps identifies the geographies from where the fraudulent clicks are coming to help us take preventive measures. Having detailed documentation to get it deployed and get users onboarded quickly will be very helpful.
It took roughly 7 seconds to load the PHP-based site. The site had been hosted on a shared server in Sydney while using CloudFlare. In our experience building the @TuffTruck website, we discovered that DigitalOcean was incredibly quick—so fast that Australian users experienced a 2-second speed boost despite the company's international location. We discovered that several WordPress plugins were significantly increasing the TTFB; disabling all plugins resulted in a 1.5-second reduction in the time it took WordPress to reply. Using an "on/off" method, we narrowed it down to two plugins by Ontraport (a customer relationship management tool used to fill out parts of the forms). We ditched it in favor of a custom WordPress plugin that only sends data to Ontraport when necessary. Now that we have a workable time for the first byte (TTFB), we can focus on reducing the total page load time. By activating Cloudflare's HTML/CSS/JS minifications and Rocket Loader, we could get our collection of test pages, including the homepage, to load [in full] in a little more than 2 seconds
I am puzzled why they don't have support for additional languages since this program is so reliable and useful. They have performed so admirably so far that I would anticipate a natural desire to grow.
Everything is extremely concise and all settings apply immediately and take effect globally. There is no reason to explicitly plan/think in terms of individual regions as one would have to traditional cloud offerings (AWS, OCI, Azure). All Cloudflare products integrate seamless as part of a single pipeline that executes from request to response.
I think this is where they can make some improvements whether it be to hire more staff or schedule them better. This solution is becoming more and more popular so it's very important that they offer quality service to back the quality product that they have.
I have never had to contact support for Cloudflare. Cloudflare has well-written documentation that allows me to configure and use Cloudflare without needing additional help. The DNS management console is very intuitive and easy to use. However, some figuring out is required if you want to configure your own web application firewall rules.
ClickGUARD is far superior to Riskified because the former has more reliability in terms of ad protection. In addition, Riskified does not allow you to view data from multiple locations, which is difficult for a business of many people. Clients also prefer a way to secure their data and increase their ROI, which ClickGUARD does.
Akamai and Edgecast/Verizon are way over-priced, and also require hassling sales people to negotiate prices, and cloudflare just has their prices posted, and don't require a multi-year contract, etc. StackPath is a regular CDN provider, and is probably cheaper than Cloudflare (my customer was paying, I wasn't involved in the billing side), but the feature list is much smaller than Cloudflare, so I converted that customer.
