Pros

  • Free tier forever (help much developers and nano/micro/SMEs)
  • Impressive serverless-based Pages & Workers Architecture
  • Lower Total Cost of Ownership
  • Leading new tech trend PaaS better than AWS/Azure/GCP

Cons

  • Enterprise/production-grade sourcecode templates like Vercel for CRM, HRM, ERP, CMS, E-COMMERCE, EMR/HIS, Multi-tenancy SaaS etc
  • Enterprise grade Serverless Database & solutions : Postgres/MySQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Multi-tenancy, Compliances like Vercel/TiDB
  • AI domain-specialty engines: healthcare, ASR/TTS like HuggingFace
  • Common technology services: WebRTC/VoIP/SIP; HMS digital sign
  • Source code market place where I can sell
  • Lower TCO and simple pricing model
  • Much Saving engineering time, HR/IT resources
  • Fastest Time-to-market with CI/CD and simplified Dashboard
  • Flexible with traditional systems from DC or other cloud natives
Cloudflare has lower starting cost for backend Workers and good pricing model with steps.
Auto-scaling by default better than microservice/docker or EC2.
Security makes simpler.
Faster time to market.
Ready use: Cloudflare proxy; Pages & Workers
Planning for next multi tenancy SaaS and AI.
Within a month my new business can be ready on Cloudflare.
Many blogs are not on the roadmap or implemented.
Many questions are not answered or find out in Discord.
Missing 1-1 chat FAQ like Dropbox for many un-clear architectures or new things.

Cloudflare not support
  • multi-tenant domain SaaS
  • WebRTC

Some of the have support but the design limited by Cloudflare or non infrastructure - agnostic
  • API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
Domain name API for multi-tenant SaaS like Vercel
open more integration channels and dashboard tools like Vercel.
