Clockify is an easy 10 over 10 recommendation for me. I would recommend this anyone especially if they're required to track their time and productivity while on the job. Office workers, tellers, bankers - any desk jobs really can very well use the awesome features of Clockify to the fullest extent. It is easy to use, very simple to set up, and doesn't require that much resource from your computer for up-keep
It's great when you need precise billable hour tracking across multiple clients with different rates, integrated invoicing, and detailed project breakdowns. I would have liked to see regular security audits and/or a SOC report given the nature of the information that's being documented in the product. However, that may not be a huge deal depending on your organization.
Webgility allows for an accounting based on the real world of our business. We are in control and charge of all of the processes that give dynamic to our businesses. We do not feel near to our business we are near and we can do this with nothing else than the intelligence behind Webgility. Everything is better since we started and we have ourselves still space to put under our reign with the vast amount of methodologies that are implemented at best in Webgility Desktop, Online, and Intelligence. There is positive improvement in the benefits every employee generates with the suites. Cases in which some starts to get in unintended directions can be detected early and corrected with no worse impact. Webgility did not too much enhance our reach to new markets or customers. Our new qualities are getting around but we expect more from the business generating features sets of Webgility. We are still curious about enhancing ourselves and our employees but we already integrated the suites to a significant degree in our processes. We are very satisfied with the POS and markets but there is for us still a lot left out where we are strong and reach our clients and customers.
Clockify records exact times on a per project basis when you click Start/Stop.
User interface is very easy. It is easy to add a project on the fly, change the times I just recorded if I forgot to click Stop for example. The interface is intuitive and gives me the flexibility I need.
Reporting gives me everything I need from times, hours per project, billable or not, per client and any tags I've created. This provides enough flexibility for many different use cases.
Integration with project management tools, like Trello, that makes the project management easier to do because you have metrics and statistics grouped on just one site.
Metrics of expended time per user and per project makes decisions easier You can have all the data to support changes or decisions in the company, like rentability of certain type of products offered.
The Everhour team is always evolving, so they always ask how you feel about everything and if anything is not working as expected. You are always surprised with new improvements that you didn't think could be useful but that end up adding value to your business.
In general, manuals or how to use instructional videos are always welcome - just covering the very basic are very good to get everyone up and running.
Maybe work on your scalability - the main reason why we switched to a different provider is because the company was ramping up and the competitors have more features that come with not just time and productivity tracking.
I always like the classic blue and white pallets on the app but sometimes I just wish there's more option to customize how it looks just to give it a little more flavor.
Expenses tracking system - if it will allow to track all fixed INs and OUTs inside the project (and track invoices based not only on time tracking but generated manually) it can replace our financial tool or make it more automated
Keeping in mind all the good things said about Webgility there is also a need to pinpoint some loopholes that exist in Webgility so that Webgility can further work on those deprivations in order to bring the best to its users.
I feel that the inventory management system of Webgility is pretty basic compared to the overall level of Webgility.
I'm using the free version at the moment and loving it. What a great product, easy, responsive and has better up time than Yahoo Mail. :) What isn't there to like?
Very affordable, accessible and simple. For this very reason I would say, it culminates to Clockify being very beginner and start-up friendly. It is its strongest suit after all, and this is the main reason why I would recommend this to anyone. I am very thankful for me ex colleague who recommended this to me, we're no longer working together but I still hear that he's still using Clockify to this very day on his own business
Everhour's overall usability is definitely one of its key strengths. The UI is intuitive and clean, making time tracking feel less "technical" than other solutions we've tried. Our entire team, including less tech-savvy contractors, found it easy to use.
I have never had an issue logging in or it not being available. I use Clockify every work day during the week, frequently starting/stopping projects. I've had past experience with other systems that suddenly aren't usable for an hour and that is something I have never experienced with Clockify. They are doing something right on their backend. I already mentioned how it feels light across the wire. Pages load fast in the web browser. I have not tried the browser plug-in nor the mobile app. I give it a 9 instead of 10 as the desktop app seemed to hesitate when I clicked the start/stop of a project/task
I dealt very little with customer support because Clockify is so easy to use. That being said, the few times I did, I got fast responses and any issues that I did have were solved in a very fast manner.
In the almost 2 1/2 years we have had to contact support 1 time and it really was for a feature request. Their support team responded quickly and told us that the feature was going to be added in the next few months. We have had no support issues ever. I have never had a time tracking solution that has had no issues until Everhour.
Harvest is very similar to Clockify. The only difference is that Harvest also has an invoicing and billing system built into it. So if you're billing your clients based off of time directly, Harvest may be a better option as far as that goes. Of course, Harvest only has minimum billing increments of 6 or 10 minutes, there is no 10-minute option so that's something where Clockify has them beat. They are both very easy to use.
Originally, I was using Harvest and really liked its features. However, the Harvest invoicing system only pushes data into QBO, but doesn't check / sync invoice numbers or update for payment status, so it was resulting in duplicate invoice numbers and extra effort to update status in both places. So, I started looking for another solution. I tried a LOT of products. Everhour addressed the following issues I encountered from various other services:
Bi-directional sync of invoices so records in QBO & Everhour always match (without having to load a bunch of extraneous records to either system)
Start-stop timer
Set budgets by project and client to easily monitor project status & profitability
Allow all team members to track to projects they're following, even if not assigned to them
Clean, modern interface (if I'm using it every day, it better be pretty and easy to use)
Ability to edit time, and limit others' ability to edit their time (though we don't restrict time editing for our users)
Doesn't require use of Projects in QBO in order to sync properly
Doesn't try to take over invoicing or break QBO functionality
It is one of the best platforms I have ever used. Webgility has been very helpful in mitigating human errors, which leads to so much time-saving. Webgility connects all the pieces, like a messed-up jigsaw puzzle, and keeps the orders synchronized well in Quickbooks.
Because it feels light on the wire and runs so smoothly with great up-time. I have to assume that the same is true as it scales. I'm a single user so maybe I don't see if there are any scalability issues. With the way it seems architected to run so quickly across many platforms (desktop, mobile, web, browser plug-in), I have to think that it is using recent technology that provides scalability options
The free plan really did everything we needed for the 6 months or so we used it. Without Clockify, we would have had to pay roughly $40+/month for a software tool.
When we upgraded to the paid version, it was still only $10/month and helped us be able to have minimum billing increments which is a huge monetary increase.
We're more aware on the investement of hours required in a project, not just the estimated hours but the actual time invested by every member of the team
Everhour is a good tool to adequate the pricing to the actual investement of hours needed and to bill the clients when the actual time invested exceeded the estimated time
The members of the team (and i'm speaking for myself too) are now more aware of how much it takes to complete a task. Having this in mind help us to organise our everyday and to know when we are free to take new clients
There is an on-going monthly fee, but our company finds it is well worth it for both the support we recieve as well as the time saved by not manually entering orders into out accounting software from our online store.
The biggest ROI is absolutely time saved in entering orders.
