When you dont know how to set up a cloud server technically, (The LAMP stack or the PHP settings etc) Cloudways comes handy. You can easily modify the server settings with one click.
Less Appropriate - If you want to save costs, go for direct cloud providers. Setting up technical stuff is a one time job.

If you don't have a huge budget and want something that works with minor quirks here and there then Zoho Mail is definitely something you should look into. For half the price of Google G Suite or Office account you get 5GB of storage per user and can send up to 25MB emails without restrictions. Great for small businesses in my opinion. I have had some issues with their spam filter, but we use SpamTitan and just shut off the one that comes with Zoho Mail. Zoho's spam filter isn't horrible but you should definitely use something in addition or instead of what comes with Zoho.

Zoho
  • When receiving an email with images that are not displayed automatically, you have to activate this function manually. It is a bit uncomfortable, I would prefer that it be activated automatically
  • The filter to search for information is not very accurate and unfriendly
  • The way to manage the storage capacity and to buy more space for the mail is not very friendly

Usability
DigitalOcean
They are constantly improving their dashboards and interface to make it easier to use and find the things that we use the most. It's a lot of features to pack in to one UI and they have done a great job of making it user friendly. Their layout is intuitive and easy to learn and is extremely granular. We are able to control every aspect of our websites and applications from an individual level from scaling, to cache, to DNS, security, WAF, and everything in between.

Support Rating
DigitalOcean
Technical support is just 2-3 clicks away and the Cloudways homepage and the operators are available almost 24/7. They also are able to answer any kind of question related to their services, whether economical or technical. I sometimes made mistakes while using their services and they have been keen to help me, and fixed my problems really fast.

I have spoken with Zoho several times and their support is always friendly and helpful. I have always been asked for security pins and codes when seeking assistance which helps me to feel my accounts are secure and I have never had to wait on hold to speak with someone for more than 5 minutes. They always seem to have someone available to help. If you call asking for instructions on how to do something they gladly walk you through the process and if you just need something done and don't have time to do it yourself they will happily customize whatever you need without you having to spend all day with it.

Alternatives Considered
DigitalOcean
Whilst all the top hosting companies have good customer service. Hostinger is the winner here for me. SiteGround has fast servers, but fees increase significantly in year two. CloudWays has excellent support at a lower price than SiteGround. They win over the other two companies because they make it very simple to manage site hosting, specifically for VPS/cloud hosting. You do not need to be as technical as you would if you're a customer of Hostinger and SiteGround. So, in short, for a fast-growing website with 6k+ sessions per month (low WP maintenance experience), I'd choose Cloudways.

• We were using MailsDaddy for little time since it does not have the adequate functionalities to address the business problems we have or improve the quality of collaborative work between departments. • The main reason we decided to implement Zoho Mail. It is because this service is much more complete than any of the ones currently on the market. It is perfect for teamwork and increases the fluidity of collaborative work between departments.

Return on Investment
DigitalOcean
  • We were able to reduce load on our main server.
  • By migrating social sentiment platform to cloudways, we were able to scale and run it effeciently.
  • It saved lot of time as well in terms of server management.

  • Negative impact - far more work (and time) needed to effectively sort and categorize emails. Instead of emails being easily sorted by labels, it is a more tedious process to have everything sorted by deal or contact
