Likelihood to Recommend CMiC is a robust platform best suited for large companies with resources for implementation and management of the program. One analogy is CMiC is like a droid phone where the user must decide how to use all the features of the program (as opposed to an iPhone where most configuration decisions are made for the user). Smaller companies with limited resources can struggle with CMiC both with the expense and configuration.
Read full review Miro is great for online, collaboration because, team members can jump in and add their comments. There are many templates that help with visualization. It's not so great for novice users, who may need some extra time to learn how it works. Also, you may need to take extra steps to invite participants that are outside of your company, if you're using an enterprise version.
Read full review Pros The user interface is similar to that of other project management software applications so folks in our company that had previously used other applications have been able to switch over fairly easily. I really like the software and it was much less expensive than other applications. I like the mobile application so that our superintendents can view the documentation on their phones. I really like the punch list capability mobile field, however, we have a hard time getting our superintendents to use it for some reason. Read full review Real-Time Collaborative Brainstorming: It is delicious there because we can think simultaneously and make timely decisions, thus better visualizing and analyzing the problem statements and finding solutions. Earlier, we used to have non-interactive sessions, which did not attract the team's attention. However, with this tool, we now have Interactive Workshops and Design Thinking, which help us a lot in getting employees to focus on company goals. Process Mapping: we map it very well and know how the outcomes are driven through extraordinary processes. Read full review Cons Needs to be more user friendly on the mobile side of the platform. Ease of use is key here. There is not much instruction or support in standing up some programs like deploying ECM for outlook, making Collaboration Gateway work, or setting up the system for getting Plans available on the mobile devices. Security configuration is extremely detailed and spread throughout the system. It is extremely hard to make adjustments to a person's security unless you know exactly where to look, which requires years of experience but shouldn't. Read full review It is somewhat difficult to rearrange process flows once they're drafted. Perhaps adding a grid where the spaces are flow steps and the borders are fixed arrows between steps; then a step could be dragged into a different order without entirely messing up the arrows. Allow Mind Map branches to overlap -- if I have a couple of layers on one branch and 10 on another it's annoying to have the first push way off into the distance. Perhaps this could be a manual vs automatic branch alignment toggle? Allow multiple lines to connect to the same point on one object - sometimes multiple connections come from the same source or lead back into it, and having to come to different sides gets pretty messy. I just hope that CMiC support removes the gaps between the enhancements that they create to better the system to what they currently have
Read full review There is no other tool like Miro for process Mapping in particular. I've tried PowerPoint, Word, and other programs, but when collaborating virtually on how to improve a process, Miro has all of the tools and more to enable successful mapping. The colors, different types of shapes and text books, along with the ability to integrate different documents and other functionality, make it ideal for this purpose. In a virtual world, it's a must-have.
Read full review Usability I believe it isn't easy to use and is unintuitive. Undecipherable error messages appear throughout the application without indicating what is wrong or how to correct it, in my experience. The terminology on the screens is specific to Canada, which adds to the confusion.
Read full review It's pretty easy to use. My gripes are with some small idiosyncrasies with selection behavior with objects and editing text. When I move an object, it automatically de-selects it when I am not done with it. I have to click to select again. Text control is challenging and could be improved. It could use a little more styling capability. It's also weird that it behaves differently in a shape then when using the text tool.
Read full review Reliability and Availability Sometimes since this is a cloud based product the system can become slow but we haven’t had any issues of availability without CMiC first letting us know it would be down
Read full review I only give a 9/10 because of the speed at which it loads. I have never experienced issues with Miro logging me out early, or some other technical issue causing the program to crash, or even it just loading in perpetuity without ever actually coming up (unlike other programs such as SFDC). It take a minute for all of my boards to come up after I click on it in my favorites, but besides that, it's all good.
Read full review Performance Reports are pretty shown to run but general pages typically load pretty quick.
Read full review I took the loading quickly to be related to availability which I commented on before, so ditto with those comment on load time here. Although to reemphasize, Miro doesn't crash or just refuse to load like some other programs. The weak point of Miro for me is integration of files like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint (especially the later two). When you embed these, it gets slow, and complicated to bring them up while you're in the application.

Read full review The support staff at Miro are fantastic. Whenever I have had an issue, they have been timely and helpful with their response. They are also very knowledgeable and go out of their way to not only help, but offer proactive training sessions on different topics and new functionality so everyone can try it out.
Read full review In-Person Training The training was on system functions and not really how best to use it for our business. It would have been nice to be provided recommendations for use rather than just a blank slate of functionality.
Read full review Online Training I felt the training was good and the trainers knew the software.
Read full review There was a series of webinars which Miro hosted with our organization that went over the basics, then progressively became more advanced with additional sections. The instructors were knowledgeable, and provided examples throughout the sessions, as well as answered peoples' questions. There was ample time and experience on the calls to cover a range of topics. The instructors were also very friendly and sociable, as well as honest. Of course Miro isn't a "God-tool" that does absolutely everything, but the instructors were aware and emphasized the strengths where Miro had them and sincerely accepted feedback.
Read full review Implementation Rating Lots of confusion between sales and implementation regarding what was included and not included...the security encountered a "bug" and made it extremely difficult to set up roles and individual responsibilities
Read full review Very easy to implement. The tool can be used and configured in countless ways. We currently use it as an online collaborative whiteboard. We set up our instance of Miro similar to how we used in office Whiteboards. We could easily set it up and configure it to exactly our liking. It took just under an hour to set up and we were up and running in using it by the next day.
Read full review Alternatives Considered CMiC Construction Platform is the best price point in the market. Others are revenue-based billings, and the annual fees reflect as such. CMiC Construction Platform support staff is generally amazing and offers real-time support on critical issues. The imaging and workflow functions are real-time savers. CMiC Construction Platform is generally a smaller and in touch organization that treats your team like their own and stays with you after the purchase.

Figma very much but it looks like it is a potential Miro competitor and I'll keep it in mind if Miro becomes too feature-ridden for ease of use. We use a Vibe board with Miro in teaching classes a lot, and it is very helpful for giving real-time feedback to students.
Read full review Scalability CMiC has several key features that can either work together or independently depending on your companies needs.
Read full review Miro is great for scaling. In every department and subdivision across my entire organization, there is someone using it. From Sales to marketing, to manufacturing and operations; and even in legal and finance, there isn't a process or a department that is not using Miro, and if they aren't, they're missing out! Even at the highest to the lowest levels of the organization, it is essential for virtual collaboration.
