Demodesk vs. Winmo

Demodesk is perfect for sales and marketing professionals, particularly in the technology & software space. Instead of screen sharing a demonstration, you can use their platform. This causes many fewer issues with lagging, poor internet connection, etc., which causes a much smoother demonstration of the software. It is great for marketing as well as being able to incorporate branding and improving consistency in the appearance of sales meetings.

Winmo is best suited when you know which company you are looking for, but are missing some information, including key contacts, agency relationships, and quarterly advertising budgets. Scenarios where it is less appropriate are when you already know which company/contact you are looking for, and you are merely looking for company info to provide context

• Allows us to view information from companies in the industry to stay on top of industry news and trends.
• It provides a large database of clients and important companies, with the contacts of managers and executive staff.
• Allows us to export the list of contacts and clients to Excel or Salesforce for the weekly reports that we make in the agency.

• The contact info can be somewhat stale...it pays to double-check LinkedIn first to see if a particular contact still has that position.
• Would like to see more info on lesser-known brands, since the big brands often mentioned are already inundated with sales inquiries.

The recording space in the cloud and the virtual display is something Microsoft Teams is missing. As per my personal experience, Demodesk is much more faster than other conference tools. Also, it's more reliable when the internet connection is low or not good. The lag rate is a lot less, which makes this tool a differentiator.

I've used a few different services like Winmo, one of them being seamless. Winmo was a lot easier to use and the information that I gather from Winmo seems to be a lot more accurate and easy to navigate. User experience is a big deal, the easier to find information the better.

• There has been a positive ROI in terms of list building.
• The ROI has also been positive in terms of competitive research.
• The ROI has been negative in terms of data quality. When the sales team actually starts using the data as-is without putting in some of their own time to clean the data.
