Likelihood to Recommend Esker On Demand is great for Sales Order Processing order creation. We use it with web services. It can make table read calls, test order creations (simulate order), and help with order creation. They are also working on change order management, but if you have multiple order entry methods or touch points, this feature may not be usable for your company.

The simplification of obtaining client signature on necessary documents through this system has virtually eliminated our need for physically mailing documents to clients. With our documents hosted by eFileCabinet, our team has increased capability to work from home/while on the road without needing to take along physically paperwork. The search function that allows for on-page searching has been extremely useful when we're looking for older documents that we can't quite recall the title of. Read full review Cons We can't enter credit memos in Esker. Need to enter in SAP and then link. PO invoices that were trained to go into the PO bucket, route into the non-PO buckets. Freight invoices that have had hundreds going into the non-PO bucket have a tendency to route to the PO-bucket because a PO number is referenced on page 7. Read full review It's only as good as your system for filing. We file by job number and client, without that it would be unusable, figure that out when you implement. Sometimes it's slow to load. Need to research? Find it in eFile. I personally cannot imagine my job without it.
Read full review Usability Esker does everything that it promises to do, but it is very hard to figure out. I am a very tech-savvy person, but I needed extensive training to be able to use the basic functions of Esker. Once you know what you're doing, it's not too hard, but I don't understand why they couldn't make it easier to use.
Read full review eFileCabinet gets the job done and is fairly easy to use once you find a few workarounds and understand how the software works. Using the browser interface next to the desktop sidekick app is needed when it should all be included in a single app. Users always wonder "why do I have to open both the browser and the sidekick interfaces to do a simple task". Basically one does what the other doesn't do and Sidekick is needing to be open regardless for the printer/scanner upload functions, but is limited on what you can do compared to the browser interface. The mac Sidekick is still in beta and makes me wonder how much longer it will be supported or updated...
Read full review Performance The software loads very quickly, their servers are great. The software can be a tad buggy or quirky at times but it gets the job done which is why it's an 8 out of 10 rating. Their desktop printer and scanner software could use an update so that windows updates don't break it from time to time too.
Read full review Support Rating They have been very helpful and the online support site is awesome. They keep the site up to date with the latest changes and present challenges to keep learning the new updates to keep things entertaining. They are overall a great crew to work with
Read full review It makes workflow so much easier, including the ability to save in the cloud makes it accessible from anywhere. I save very little on our server now which means this also makes filing more secure. I literally save and research via the platform several times a day.
Read full review Implementation Rating I don't know as it happened before I started working here
Read full review Alternatives Considered I have listed a few that we considered but there were many more in the initial assessment, Esker was priced well and had the best user interface. Was really easy to use and the implementation process was well designed. It was a system that could handle a two tiered delegations of authority for project expenditure and operational expenditure.
Read full review We find eFileCabinet to be more secure than the alternative products we were using at the time, around 5 years ago. The system is far more robust and better suited the large number of files we needed to store, plus the amount of security and restrictions we needed to be able to provide for our clients
Read full review Return on Investment We now have reporting available down to the individual field level (changes, errors, etc) and can calculate cost to serve. It replaced on-premise hardware with cloud SaaS that is more cost effective and risk adverse. It is more intuitive; we can put new hires on order entry and experience less user errors. As a solution owner who fixes problems and answers questions, I don't find myself having to "think" about Esker and it has become a smaller part of my job now that end-users are more self-sufficient. Read full review Pricing is budget friendly. Pay only for the number of users you need. I needed 2, so I pay for 2. Other DMS programs come with up to 5 users and charge accordingly. This gives me the flexibility to grow my business at my rate - not someone else's. Read full review ScreenShots
