Freedcamp vs. Mitel MiCollab

I have used a number of different Project Management Tools and this is the one I always make the team come back to, it's easy to use, has great support, and can be used by people of various levels of technical ability. When planning a complicated network, that needs to be sold to a customer, all people within the company have needs that have to be addressed, from the obvious technical, but also legal, regulatory, finance, and ordering of equipment and all these have different milestones, that interconnect, this is where Freedcamp shines, it allows all of the company to work together to achieve the technical sale.

If you're in an area that has highly trained technicians to support the Mitel MiCollab product - I think your experience will likely be much better than ours. In my opinion, Frontier (and Integra before them) were the worst, and we do not look back on that experience with much happiness.

• Lots of options to setup for end users.
• Headsets are comfortable and better than old handsets with desk phones. MiCollab allows users more comfortable phone calls.
• Call quality is great.
• Chat feature is great.

• The setup for the twinning feature was a bit confusing and took me a while to successfully complete the task.
• The UX, particularly on an older iPhone could be improved.
• Overall, the product is rather sound, and I am pleased with my experience using it.

I always come back to using Freedcamp, I've used others, but keep coming back.

It basically provides everything we need in terms of functionality. No tool is perfect and this one can improve in the visual department and maybe doesn't offer quite as much as the most advanced project management tools out there.

It is easy to you for existig Mitel UC users, who are familiar with the Mitel way of things, but for green field enterprises, might be a ramp up period which in most cases would not be worth it as its competitor TEAMS is much easier and intuity to use.

Especially a few years ago when Freedcamp was first starting, I needed support, sometimes, I'd find a bug as a heavy user, Igor and Angel are great people who are quick to reply and help you as well as the other great staff. Freedcamp's support is the best of any software product I use.

Initially, support from Mitel was fantastic, but recently it has started to lag significantly. Response takes 8 hours, at a minimum, usually requiring a second call to spur a response. Email support is even worse (email in a ticket) - I have had to call in to get things running the 3 times I've tried to email support.

Maybe not as good and visually appealing as Jira and Trello. But it offers a much better free tier and better prices for a small organisation as we are. Freedcamp and Kanbanchi is quite similar but Kanbanchi lacks the wide range of functionality in its free tier and makes it difficult to start up in a team.

MiCollab was great as a VOIP solution and general team collaboration solution, but it lacked in some areas, such as the mobile app, complex configuration and set up as well as the lack of user customization. Overall, the system is serviceable, but seemed rather vanilla compared to its competitors

• Freedcamp has helped us juggle many tasks and complete everything on time.

• This product was competitively priced when originally purchased. We will need to evaluate whether to replace it when it approaches the end of life or simply upgrade it.
• Users typically only use the phone system because the collaboration tools have been superseded in functionality by other tools.
