GoCo vs. Greenshades

It's great for a small company who needs an easy way to save employee data. It's harder to use if you have complex needs or compliance. I often find I know more about HR-related things than our customer support representative, and they're unable to share how GoCo will comply with legal changes.

We used to have ADP for payroll, the gold standard. I guess to save a few bucks my company switched to Greenshades. From time to time my payroll stub does not show up on time. I asked my HR department about this and was told they are not fond of Greenshades. I call Greenshades to ask about the delay. They do not have any support contact information on the employee website I use to get my payroll information. I had to google them and found a support contact on their website. Not good. When I spoke to someone to ask about the pay stub delays, he hung up on me.

• Support staff is ready to respond with any questions I have.
• Communication about new offerings and ways to make things easier is great.
• Site is very user friendly and easy to find what I'm/staff is looking for.

• Requesting Time- Off, which can include PTO and sick time.
• Managing the hours that you have worked during each pay period.
• Seeing past pay information.
• Quick access to W-2.

We are very pleased with the product and the support we receive when we have a question or a request. We have been assigned specific support members who know our business and our expectations. Our employees find the platform to be user-friendly and self-explanatory which reduces the number of questions that our HR team has to field.

GoCo was my first choice during the selection process. It was the most user friendly. It has the cleaned appearance. The staff was easy to communicate with. And as a small non-profit, the pricing was good.

In my previous place of employment, we used the Paycom system as our resource for managing hours and time. I do believe that the Paycom system had more privacy and safety aspects implemented with their software. However, Greenshades Software is a very user-friendly website that provides all of the resources that are necessary to do the job well!

• We save so much time when onboarding new employees
• We look much more organized and professional in the new hire process (because we are, thanks to GoCo)

• Enables multiple team members to access payroll
• Eliminates the need for a GP server to run our payroll internally
• Assists greatly with filing our tax returns on-time and correctly.
