Grasshopper is an IP telephony business communication solution that provides companies with a toll-free or local phone number. It has both desktop and mobile applications and includes features such as custom greeting recording, call forwarding, call transfer, call reporting, and voicemail.
Well suited for both our workplace and virtual meetings, especially when people are not in one place. It is also more appropriate with audio, visual, and captions. It is also more appropriate to send a recording to your drive for reference on parts that a host may not have captured.
Grasshopper is well suited for basic needs of texting in and out as well as calling out if you would like to avoid using your personal line. It also eliminates the need to have a dedicated land land in your office or business. You can obtain a vanity number and forward calls through grasshopper.

The admin can change the role and make anyone as admin of the current session.
Even if the meeting gets disconnected due to network in the admin's side error still it remains running on the user's side.
Multiple people can share screen together at the same time.
The admin can make the meeting open to all so that every time someone joins the admin does not have to allow them one by one. Once it's open, all can join without permission of the admin.

One major one — I always say that we cannot send attachments during the meeting. Teams has that, so I believe Google should add that as well. Because you can have the conversation in the messages, but you can’t provide a file. So let’s say I have a technical conversation with someone, and I want to share a document, like an architecture diagram — I cannot send it. We have to use Gmail or Drive for that. It can be integrated for sure, so that’s an improvement that definitely can be done.

It would be nice to have the ability to transfer some calls to another Grasshopper IVR, for those customers who mistakenly dial the wrong number (we have two incoming numbers, one for corporate and one for sales).
Likewise, it would be nice to have the ability to forward to a toll-free number, which would have allowed us to work around the inability to transfer between IVRs (see above).
Lastly, it would be great to have an 'emergency' switch setting (default off but could be toggled on) that would let us override all IVR settings and transfer all incoming calls elsewhere (either to a direct dial or toll free number) for those rare times when we cannot take any calls (such as a weather emergency OR the one time each year we take all of our staff on a retreat) - that would allow us to send all calls to a backup answering service rather than just voicemail.

This app is still having a lot of redundant features as compared to other industry apps such as Zoom and Webex which offers much more on the functionality side along with the option to have greater user access control to the admin/host of the meetings. A sense of interaction is always found to be missing in Google meet which can be easily adopted in the Zoom
Google Meet is very easy and simple to use. I can schedule a meeting right on my calendar - it literally takes a few seconds. There is no additional app I have to open to schedule anything. Guests can click on the link easily to join any meetings. 10/10!

Google does a great job of providing tech support for this product, as it does many others. Similarly, Google has FAQs that cover a large amount of issues faced by users. Problems have not persisted in our use of this product. Problems are resolved quickly and easily, with or without personal Google support.

When I was setting up my account I contacted support a couple of times. They were also very professional, personable, and helpful. Their response is prompt and thorough. I'm confident I can get any question answered as well as help with any issue I might have. That's pretty important to me.

I use Microsoft Teams, but obviously Google Meet is much better than that because there are some challenges which I see as part of this. One of the main pros that I see here is that in Google Meet, whenever you have all those recordings as part of the Google Suite, you have those recordings stored in Google types. So that's the same Google product and everything stays in the same thing.

I have not used any other phone services like Grasshopper. I know that there is another option out there called Ruby, which is more like a virtual receptionist but since I did not try it out I cannot compare the two. When I started my company I found the services that Grasshopper offers to be perfect. It still works for us and we have no need to change to anything else right now.

I wasn't involved in the unit pricing factor. So far I used Google meet in the office where I got access to all these Google applications including the Google Meet feature. So I wasn't involved much in this pricing factor of Google Meet and also regarding the contact terms of the product.
This is very good in the professional services as I started using this first for the professional service only. While using this Google Meet itself gives a professional feel as the UI works in a professional way. The video background modification, multi-screen feature, and some other features help in professional service.
It's definitely the way that we engage with our customers and each other. So I think it's really good that it can help you bring remote people together and feel like you've met with them online. And then when you meet them in person you're like, this tracks, this definitely coincides with who I saw online. So it definitely is a really good platform to just bring people together, but remotely.
