IBM Guardium vs. Keepit

IBM Guardium DP is suitable for monitoring, auditing, data discovery, vulnerability analysis, and risk detection and investigation in relational and non-relational databases, cloud database services, indexed databases, and non-relational databases as well. IBM Guardium DPR is appropriate for supporting the process of detecting anomalous behavior in accessing sensitive data, helping to optimize the work of cybersecurity analysts or data team analysts by providing the data officer within our organization with insight into compromised users, compromised databases, or file servers containing sensitive data.

Any company that deals with the retention of important data should have Keepit to ensure operational security and data confidentiality. In scenarios such as using file servers in SharePoint, Teams, or Google Workspace, it's a tool that offers complete integration and helps save IT a lot of time on security incidents or human errors in file deletion. The fact that it only restores what is not in the folder, or backs up each version of the file given the snapshot date you choose, is fantastic. • Cross tenant restores, allows you to migrate mailboxes from one tenant to another.
• Being able to backup multiple tenants/platforms from a single interface is awesome.
• The setup and ongoing maintenance is great, articles on how to setup security and gain access to data in a secure way is also a great feature
• The interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate, it hides an awful lot of power

• Cleanup the menu bar- way too many items.
• Ktap support for newer O/S. Recently, I have had to open support tickets to get the most recent support for the RHEL Kernel.
• Also, upgrading agents to V12 doesnt not have the same Flex or exact match for KTAP as 11.5. You would think V12 would have the same Kernel support as 11.5. Clients are moving to V12.

• It would be great if they showed delta changes automatically instead of having to manually complete it
• When completing a cross-tenant restore (which works well) the notifications are hard to understand and use GUID's instead of DisplayNames
• It would be great if it backed up more than M365/Entra
• Bulk restore limited to 5k items

Keepit is an awesome product that garantees a result with a simple interface, and a quick configuration integration. Nowadays the service is really good and all requests have been replied to very quickly, and that´s important for our satisfaction. The possibility of multiple points recovery is a plus as well.

This software is not the easiest to use in all work environments, each department has some difficulties accessing and managing some functions, it can be considered a complex softy, but I consider it necessary to have it in the company due to its security qualities of warm cans, it offers exactly what it promises but with a little difficulty in its configuration.

Such a simple solution to use. User friendly, intuitive, processes can be completed in minutes instead of hours with restoring from tape, and requesting the return of tapes from the off site location, thus saving many hours and cost of storage. Also gives the end user a better experience as files can be restored almost immediately.

There has been great support coming from IBM. It is easy to use and a great way to keep our data secure. I would recommend this to other possible users and if I were to move companies, I would recommend we use this there too. Thank you

Support helped us to set up SSO and MFA with our Azure AD Accounts. Once when the backup was failing, they could help us to investigate the reason and find a stale account that was preventing the backup. They are really concerned that the backup works and not only want to close the ticket like other support hotlines.

IBM Security Guardium has extended capabilities of automatically locating databases and assessing the vulnerabilities and configuration flaws in them. IBM Security Guardium stacks up against other products due to the additional features that can be easily added to your IT systems after installation. Additionally, Guardium has the ability to monitor a mainframe database environment which makes it the best choice!

We previously used Veeam to backup data from O365 to local servers. We had other SaaS platforms we needed to include and move from local to cloud backups. While Veeam does have multiple cloud options but compared with Keepit it was overly complicated and less cost effective. Keepit was a no-brainer in terms of simplicity and having a single 360 dashboard.
