Overall Satisfaction with Keepit
We backup multiple M365 tenants with Keepit. This solution covers all of our data and Azure settings, simple to setup and simple to use. The fact that we can backup more than one tenant is a big plus and sealed the deal for us. I have tested restoring mailboxes across tenants and it works really well.
Pros
- Cross tenant restores, allows you to migrate mailboxes from one tenant to another.
- Being able to backup multiple tenants/platforms from a single interface is awesome.
- The setup and ongoing maintenance is great, articles on how to setup security and gain access to data in a secure way is also a great feature
- The interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate, it hides an awful lot of power
Cons
- I would like to use Keepit to store my archive data, including offline mailboxes.
- The are other solutions that do more backups per day, a greater frequency would be a bonus
- Very quick to deploy and easy to manage, saves me a lot of time.
- Having an immutable backup for many terabytes of data is amazing value.
- We are coming up to our third year using Keepit, the peace of mind it provides, gives me total confidence in the product and it is an easy sell to the management.
We have a blend of mechanisms to protect our data and workloads. Keepit is by far the most important and will continue to be, as we transition our data and workloads to the cloud.
That is exactly what I do and Keepit is a real winner, it is simple to use, easy to deploy and I have total confidence in its ability to protect our data, one big worry less for me for sure.
Datto was a contender and does have more daily backups, but it could not backup multiple tenants.
