Indeed Ads (Sponsored Jobs) vs. Insightpool Ads Optimization

Using indeed for ongoing job needs is great as the job ad will be there for an extended period of time. The use of Indeed for a quick need-to-hire tomorrow situation has been tough. I have found that it may take a few days to gather good applications.

I recommend Insightpool for anyone looking to build and maintain a relevant follower pool on Twitter as well as anyone that wishes to use Twitter for event recruitment, white paper downloads, etc. With a small team, I strongly recommend the full-service model, especially when you first get started. It's like having an in-house social team when you opt for full-service and has enabled us to do much more on Twitter than was previously possible with our small team.

• Immediate response, that's what I need. I post the job, there is no waiting one day or two hours to respond to the candidates.
• Gives me better visibility, better ability to choose different candidates, I've tried sponsored jobs with deal-breakers and non-deal-breakers. Sometimes is best not to have a deal-breaker for certain jobs because I might pass on a candidate I wouldn't have thought to maybe take a look at.
• I've also used the instant match, I'm starting to get better at qualifying those candidates and I had a few applicants from that.

• Event promotion and registration: Insightpool's unique ability to search both the Twitter stream and profile data makes reaching B2B marketing professionals at key industry events a cinch.
• Building relevant follower pool: Insightpool's ability to target relevant users by profile data makes finding and nurturing the right individuals easier than ever before.
• The personalized and targeted approach is well-received and prompts engagement from the people we care about.

• The biggest area for improvement that I see is the automatic job collapsing for posts that are coming from the same company, same title but different locations. A lot of our locations are hiring hourly team members and are within 10-15 miles of each other. This issue significantly reduces the number of applicants that we see and makes our lives as recruiters more difficult when we need to try and manage 75 locations across both concepts that are potentially hiring for 2-3 positions at a time.

• Initial iterations of the tool were buggy and not all that intuitive, which is why we moved to a full-service model. More recent releases are much more intuitive and less buggy.
• The tool was limited before its ability to search Twitter steams, but now with stream search, we do not feel hindered in anyway.
• Personally, I'm not a fan of public message targeting. Use with caution. The DM feature works great and is very well received by our audience however.

I use Indeed Sponsored Jobs pretty much on a daily basis. As a recruiter this would be the first thing, I renew to help me succeed in my role as a staff recruiter.

Just renewed for the rest of the year. Pricing is very reasonable especially when you compare it to the cost of paid Twitter campaigns. And, Insightpool campaigns have consistently outperformed direct Twitter campaigns.

They continue to improve their platform. Although sometimes adding more functions can decrease usability, Indeed is very good at adding definitions and information in a very user-friendly way. You are truly able to customize your service and job ads in a way that benefits you and your company. You also have complete control over your ad and your budget

Our Indeed support team far exceeds the support I've received from any other recruitment platform. We have a dedicated account executive AND a client support specialist, both of whom go out of their way to assist with everything from making our job ads more effective to make the billing process more transparent. They are a rock star team that truly takes the stress out of recruiting!

Handshake is mainly for the college-age group. We have listed some of our jobs on here before, but never had a good turnout of applicants. We tried ZipRecruiter, but it was easier to manage all of our jobs if they were listed on one site. We would also sometimes have people apply on both our ZipRecruiter listing and our Indeed listing.

We've used sponsored Tweets via Twitter directly with limited success. We don't see the same level of engagement or types of followers with paid Twitter promos as we do with Insightpool campaigns. Additionally, we receive a fair amount of negative feedback when we use sponsored tweets as they tend not to be as targeted as running Insightpool campaigns

• Applicant quality varies depending on the position, sometimes we get really good ones and bad ones so it's positive and negative at times.
• Positive impact with being cost effective. I don't feel we pay too much for what we need, but it's not "cheap" by any means either.

• Not just more Twitter followers, but more RELEVANT Twitter followers and more engaged followers from our target audience.
• A great tool for prospecting and event recruitment at key industry events.
• Effective at amplifying content distribution, especially when content is related to key industry events.
