Small organization with limited resource can really make use of [Inspectlet]. Its really user friendly and don't need much expertise or training to use and you can have the entire department using it the very next day its implemented. But if its a large company, you might be better off with other session replay tools.
Mouseflow is a great when you're working in a busy product development or conversion optimisation environment, and want to understand exactly how customers are interacting with your site or app so you can respond. It's a capable tool that offers some great insight at a fraction of the cost of competitors like SessionCam or ClickTale. It has occasional problems in captures that its competitors suffer from less often, but if you're looking for a general understanding of usage then this is a great tool. It doesn't have built-in integrations with all A/B testing tools, but it does have a built-in Google Tag Manager tag so its very easy to set up without assistance. If you've got the budget to select reliability over cost, then you may choose to opt for a more mature, enterprise offering. But if your budget is limited, or you're just looking to prove the value of session recording as a concept, then Mouseflow will more than do the job.
Currently, we are only using Whatfix with Salesforce but are in the process of implementing on other systems. It is an excellent tool to organize and provide in-app access to training materials already created. It excels at providing guidance about tasks users don't complete often and, therefore, forget what they were trained about the process. The only sort of system it might not work well is one that provides its own robust in-app assistance. More than one type of tip icon being displayed, for instance, could be confusing.
Inspectlet does analysis of sessions really well. We were able to view our funnel and view sessions that completed and dropped-off at various points. Setting up the funnel and doing the analysis was very easy.
I thought Inspectlet was very easy to integrate. During the integration, I was able to send metadata that allowed for increased flexibility during analysis. I loved that Inspectlet integrated with Segment.io.
I thought the tool's pricing was positioned well for the features it offered.
Mouseflow does a great job creating wonderful Heat Maps. These allow you to really see how people are interacting with a page. Great data if you want to create better flow in your pages.
The User Session Recordings are also especially useful and when used in conjunction with the heat maps you can really get a feel and a look at how a page is working. This lets you see where people get stuck, elements that might be distracting, etc.
In the area of the heat maps Mouseflow can handle A/B testing which I think is priceless.
Another advantage to Mouseflow is that unlike many of these types of tools Mouseflow integrates with most Web platforms, well beyond WordPress.
Create an approved chrome extension that can be used to link session replay ids we gather in our Analytics tool like Adobe to the actual Inspectlet tool
Lots of times main dashboard doesn't load. Make the tool more bug free.
The possibility to select content/widgets at the time for "push to production" (some we would like to p2p for one single content, that is not possible at the moment).
I wish the filters in the dashboard would stay when you choose a content, currently you have to filter again and again.
In the analytics area, I would like the system to remember this for a certain time window after selecting the start date.
[We feel like] even though Whatfix has its flaws, we are impressed by the speed of development [and] their openness about their future improvements, [but] most important their proactive customer service and customer success team. Whatfix acts more like a partner than a supplier of a 3rd party tool, and we welcome that experience.
Mouseflow is pretty easy to use. You need to be a core technical person to implement it on your site. Mouseflow provided us a tracking code that need to be installed on the website, and if do not have the knowledge of how to work on the backend of the website, you will not be able to install it. Here you will need the help of a technical person who has a good knowledge of your website platform to install the code on the website. There are also videos available giving insight on how to use the Mouseflow platform. I personally haven't faced any problem while using Mouseflow. Just login to this tool and a dashboard will open in front of you.
While they've made a lot of improvements in the last year, there are still challenges with walkthroughs and how beacons can be created. They are aware of these limitations and are actively soliciting customer feedback to help them remedy these shortcomings.
This is an area where Mouseflow is quite strong. Not only is the support good but they also have some very good training on the use of the product. There is a nicely laid out section of videos that not only cover the use of the tools functions but also how to use the data that Mouseflow produces. They are doing well in the support area.
Whatfix is THE best vendor I've ever worked with when it comes to supporting their customers. The support team is friendly, helpful and always willing to listen to your suggestions and ideas. This also applies to the Engineering team who I've spent several hours on calls with debugging a few of the more challenging scenarios we have in place. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Whatfix and they are truly best-in-class when it comes to their support model.
While helpful, the feedback from our employee was, that [they felt] the training was very high-level - sometimes confusing. It would be great to have some kind of sandbox environment for new users to train certain scenarios.
Although Whatfix make the process relatively straightforward (they will provide Group Policy Scripts to install a Google Chrome extension specific to your organisation) its important to ensure your network deployment teams (if you have more than one) understand their role and what they need to do to test deployment once they undertaken the work.
I tried out several session recording tools. The things that really stood out to me about Inspectlet were the interface and integration. Inspectlet was easiest for me to integrate and start sending custom metadata. I also liked that you could set up Inspectlet to capture every session automatically. Finally, I really enjoyed Inspectlet's funnel reporting feature. It sped up useful analysis tremendously because most of the sessions we were interested in corresponded to funnel interaction.
Mouseflow is a supplement to Google Analytics and improves on some Analytics functions. Mouseflow adds qualitative data to the quantitative data that Analytics provides to help marketers better understand their website visitors
