Intermapper is a light weight, quick and easy to use monitoring application. It will get you up and monitoring key infrastructure devices with a simple management interface and effective alert system that doesn't generate a lot of noise. It provides mobile device access through a web interface and is relatively inexpensive.

This is great for small teams and companies as well as for our larger manufacturing company. I have configured/setup both scenarios, and it has been easy and convenient each time. I can see them having issues with larger international conglomerates, since their integration with common enterprise solutions is a bit limited.
The best thing about Intermapper is that it is map-based. You start by building your map, which is done completely automatically. I've used many different monitoring software packages, Solarwinds, Nagios, Opmanager, and it is a royal PITA to create live maps with those.
Another great feature is that it shows you, visually, the bandwidth utilization of your network by using "ants" and color codes. Incredibly useful.
Alarms are very easy to setup, again much easier than the packages mentioned above.

The use of two apps when you're a supervisor. We have to use Unity and the Nextiva app instead of one app. It can be cumbersome.
Better integration with CRM's. We use Zendesk and it works ok as it does pull up customer records if we have their phone number on file. But it would be better if we could have more functionality from one place and have it write to the CRM directly.
Accept higher quality audio for greeting recordings. We had to trim the file size down several times losing a lot of audio quality in the process. Mono is fine since callers will only need to hear the one channel. But the Hz limit and file size limit were rough.

Its user friendly, easy to use and has been very reliable. We have nothing but good things to say about our service with Nextiva Business Phone Service. When needed their support team has always resolved any and all issues one way or another. They have been helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. The features vs the cost is wonderful compared to other service providers.

Nextiva provides a good bang for the buck if you are looking for reliable internet-based phones with a support team that has the knowledge and expertise to take care of any issues that may arise with your phones. The system is so intuitive and has so many custom settings you can play with to get things set up exactly how you need them to be.

The product works well and is very easy to maintain. As such, we haven't had many occasions to use support. When we have called them they were easy to contact and responsive to our questions. We have had the product for years and it may have been a year or better since the last time we contacted them.

Nextiva’s software is incredibly easy to use and makes managing calls and day-to-day communication simple for our team. The interface is intuitive, so our agents were able to get up and running quickly with very little training. Our agents especially love the CID dashboard—it gives them the information they need at a glance and makes handling calls much more efficient. Overall, Nextiva has made our workflow smoother and our agents’ experience much better.

No was done by Agency Owner and was done with the help of Nextiva Support and Sales team. Went very well and has been working great since then. Was originally only two phones and then we continue to add to that. We did not have any reported issues and was a great experience for our Agency and Small Business.

Intermapper is a cross between WhatsUp Gold and Nagios. WhatsUp Gold being for a less technical end-user and Nagios doing more than just SNMP scans and up down monitoring.

The selection between VOIP vendors wasn't easy. Initially, they were all on relatively the same playing field, with the same overall offerings. In the end, it came down to choosing the service that I felt presented the best phone options, and that I felt might provide the best customer service. I'm glad I picked Nextiva.

Downtime costs money. Every minute we can get ahead of an outage is time that a plant is not sitting there waiting. We don't need to wait for a call from a plant, we know they are down immediately and we can begin troubleshooting.

ROI - we are saving money, a lot of money, and we have a MUCH better phone system
Consolidation - we migrated 6 different phone systems in 6 different counties into one, and it's been wonderful!
Management - managing this system is so much better than Mitel, Panasonic, and any other system I have used. We are able to assign rights to certain staff to also make changes, and it's user friendly and almost fool proof.
