RingCentral Contact Center is an AI-first contact center offers a set of cloud-based software plans with basic features including support for inbound and outbound call centers and IVR and ACD capabilities. Advanced features include analytics, real-time call reporting, workforce optimization analytics, and omni-channel integration with SMS, email, and social media platforms.
CxEngage can handle some more complex flow options that other vendors don't seem to be able to do. The integration for voice calls with Salesforce is a huge plus. The integration of email support with Salesforce is a BIG miss. After fighting with it for a year, we finally just turned it off and use Salesforce Omnichannel for email support. Chat using Salesforce Live Agent worked fine enough.

RingCentral Contact Center is extremely useful for tracking employee availability and working hours, particularly for remote employees. It is also helpful to be able to share certain skills between various employees so that customers dialing in have the best chance to get in touch with the correct contact immediately. RingCentral Contact Center is not ideal for lots of outbound outreach, particularly due to the phone number not coming in with the user's extension (and in our case, the number is an 800 number and looks more like spam), but for incoming calls it is very useful. The difference between a cold transfer and trying to conference someone on before you transfer is not always clear. Many people in the company often make mistakes, such as not being able to conference on the contact before transferring or accidentally hanging up on the conference, also affecting the others on the line.

Reliability: Our previous service was prone to outages, RingCentral Contact Center has been rock solid as long as we've used it.
Integration: Our IT team was able to build a custom RingCentral Contact Center dashboard on our website for our salespeople to manage inbound/ outbound calling. From there we were able to send call data directly into activities in our ERP (Acumatica).
Ease of use: It works well whether in the office or WFH (which many employees do regularly.

Stronger support and more reliable system for users not on a commercial network
Consumer friendly and intuitive reporting and dashboard tools. build canned reports
Reporting: Ability to get a combined SVL for all queues included on a report (now we manually calculate after exporting the report into excel). Same for all major data points (ASA, AHT, etc.)
Ability to include abandoned calls and an abandonment percentage which excludes short abandons on the Queue summary report. Now the report just shows total abandons and abandonment percentage so if we want to exclude short abandons we have to pull a separate report to find out how many calls abandoned in less than 10 seconds then calculate the "true abandoned number" (calls abandoned minus short abandons)
Ability to change what is considered a "short abandon" and then report on it. Right now the only option is the built in tracking of calls that abandoned in equal to or less than 10 seconds.
Ability to "save" an agents "default" skill profile so that any changes we make can be returned to "BAU" with a click of a button
quicker data/historical report retrieval
way to separate what we have listed as a queue name for reporting vs. what is used for the queue name in the "whisper" (the issue we had with WT queue naming conventions because we had to have the whisper be super precise)

If we haven't used the contact center for support is because the service is so good that make us not need to use it very often. However, I guess our IT team has found some useful features on it for system implementation, automation, and updates that have helped them to keep providing us with the right support as needed.

It's a really intuitive platform. All the buttons and sections are almost exactly where you would expect them to be. Navigating the platform is fairly easy, even for folks who have not used it before. I can usually just tell my colleagues to "go to the settings tab and you'll see the audio settings" and they are able to take it from there.

We implemented in 2018 and were only given 8 weeks to do it...as per the direction of our parent company at the time. Serenova at the time responded well and we were able to go Live within 8-weeks...albeit the product overall was a big change and had gaps in features over our previous contact management solution.

It was really straightforward to get our phone number ported over and start using the platform. The agent walked us through the steps and we were able to configure everything ourselves. Much easier to setup than some of the other platforms

It's been too many years...I don't remember. Except in 2021 we looked briefly at Amazon and Salesforce call center offerings. Both were too basic at the time that even if we got a great deal on licensing (we are a Salesforce house for other things), we couldn't easily (or at all) do things like Callbacks and some of the more robust flow buildouts that we have in place today with Lifesize.

With RingCentral Contact Center we were able to connect with our customers. The feature that allows the call to be sent to the first available rep ensured that this happened.
Also, my favorite feature is the call recording and transcription feature. This allowed me to get the customer's emails without asking them to repeat if I missed them the first time. Hence, happier customers and more meetings.
RingCentral Contact Center also made it very easy to set up a mailbox for customers to leave messages and reassure them that they've connected with the right person.
