Likelihood to Recommend It is hard to think of ways in which Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite would not be best suited to provide an effective tool for any organization to find success in its use. Whether it is a visual display to map an organizational structure, a collaboration to find an answer of how to improve workflow, or even to display the upcoming budget needs, working in Lucid can seamlessly provide that!
Read full review It is suitable for both individual and collaborative work. Personally, expanding or reorganizing ideas allows me to develop relationships of concepts, processes, or perspectives in a variety of ways. It allows ideas to flow and connect in creative and powerful ways. When you are looking to understand a problem or situation in depth, it is very good for that.

There is a lot of auto-editing and adjusting which the software does for you which saves a lot of your time. Easy way of duplicating shapes. While working with the app everything feels organic and natural. You don't get the clunky/limited feeling which happens with some other similar apps. Captivates your audience if you prepare and present a conference, a class, or a seminar in MindManager. Read full review Cons I have used the templates before and those are nice! I would like to see more The ONLY complaint I can come up with is that there has been several times that my screen will lock up and i have to fully refresh it, even when it is a fairly fresh load. Read full review There should be some more functionality in the Notes window, such as a "Paste Special " Icon in the notes area to maintain format control. Although I create many of my own Web export templates, an add-on for web export design would be great, as I regularly create Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) in HTML export format. The ability to sync Map shortcuts between devices would also be welcome. I use MM on three devices, and I have to add or amend the Map list individually. My maps are on OneDrive, so using them should not be that hard if they are cloud-based. Read full review Likelihood to Renew I feel the main issues of the old Mindjet seem to be gone with the Corel purchase. With the huge advance of sharing via browser HTML even 1 user can affect many. And, actually, using MM kind of forced my rigid brain to rethink how I categorize and classify information/projects.
The
idea of paying $69USD for an annual cost is more than fair and a great
model for Corel/Mindjet to keep rolling out improvements!
Read full review Usability The interface is easy to use and understand and most features feel very familiar from the start. There are so many features and functions that users may not know it can be done without some instruction. Lucid's champion network is a great, fun resource to learn more about the product.
Read full review MindManager is very intuitive. The user interface is not cluttered and the ribbon icons are easy to understand. Read full review I have called technical support a few times. During the COVID Crisis, I called a few times repeatedly due to a rush request. The technical support guy called me back in minutes. He somehow knew that I had called repeatedly and wanted to make sure my issue was resolved immediately
Read full review Online Training The videos are not well categorized...I had to do a bit of digging to get what I wanted and many videos on older versions. If Mindjet was to improve the titles used that would help.

Read full review Alternatives Considered We started using LucidChart after switching from another visual collaboration tool. The import process worked surprisingly well - way better than anyone on our team was expecting. Lucidchart itself is simple to use, easy to collaborate with coworkers, has a ton of built-in diagram components, and has a supportive community around it complete with webinars from highly entertaining and engaging presenters.
Read full review The primary reason for the switch was that I needed a lighter, no-frills tool. I saved big time on the licensing cost. A major need was the cross-OS platform, and this tool works irrespective of MacOS and Windows. I could not have found a better tool. Lucidchart is the next closest tool, which I could not find in the list above.
Read full review Scalability A team can collaborate on the same project but cannot create a shared project file. It would be helpful for that feature to be added.
Read full review Return on Investment It sure has. It has saved me a lot of time. Think of all the time I could have wasted trying to learn a program that does the same thing, whereas Lucidchart just does it with ease, learn as you go, and be a boss at it. Lucidchart has increased productivity. My diagrams have helped co-workers find connectivity and helped them troubleshoot devices. This has saved time and increased productivity. Read full review For a single person business presentation it is a plus. Project difficulty is well assessed using the map. Giving away a paper version of a map is a positive gesture. People like the map, the look, and what it says, and it may also be a way to promote MindManager to them. Keep the PDF or JPEG saving capabilities for small customers like me. It's important.
