Each additional domain: Standard = $345. Professional = $595. These prices are for an annual license. ADManager Plus license is xml-based and supplied through e-mail. Each ADManager Plus license includes an administrator account by default.
ADManager Plus offers two main add-ons: a Governance, Risk and Compliance add-on for access certification and advanced compliance capabilities, and a Backup and Recovery add-on for AD, Entra ID, and Google Workspace user objects.
We decided to use ManageEngine ADManager Plus due to the compatibility it had with our systems. We run a hybrid environment and ManageEngine ADManager Plus was the system that fit into our infrastructure the best. It also provides the most opportunity for growth in the way we …
We used NinjaOne in the past but I feel like it is trying to do too much. Whereas ManageEngine ADManager Plus is focused on managing Active Directory and staying in that lane, NinjaOne tries to incorporate all elements of IT into one platform, which makes it a mile wide but …
I appreciate the reporting feature in ManageEngine ADManager Plus. With just a click, I can get reports that would take days with other tools, and ADManager gets it done in minutes. It's incredibly time-saving when I need to find out how many licensed users we have. It provides …
It was incredible useful for those that I was able to onboard. Our small organization was not a good fit at the time, but I could absolutely see the value for a larger, distributed workforce.
We have not evaluated other products. We use several ManageEngine products and are very happy with them. The pricing is reasonable and support is very good.
We did not research any other applications. ADManager Plus was the first that appeared in our search. After a demo with their sales team, it was apparent that this was the application we wanted. The price was perfect too. We ordered it right away and implemented it within a …
As far as reporting, ADManager Plus is on par with these other companies, but you would need an additional module to get the exact same reports. The items that put this in front of the other companies is the ability to create users and make group/permission changes.
My company already owned ADManager when I started with them. If I remember correctly, it was chosen because it is a fairly cheap tool and because we also use Manage Engine's Service Desk Plus application. ADManager's main competitor (in my eyes) would be PowerShell, now that I …
Ping is a hybrid Identity management too ie it works on cloud and on prem both. As majority of our servers are on cloud, we chose Okta Ping was providing WLP solutions and again this was not something we needed at that time so Okta was our choice. Plus the terms of contract were …
Ultimately, we found Okta stood out for its ease of integration across a wide range of applications, vendor-neutral approach, and overall user experience, which aligned best with our needs.
Okta is far superior in terms of integrations, user interface, automation, and connectivity. Additionally, Okta offers better support and availability, and a more robust solution across every capacity Entra competes in. Okta simply works, whereas Microsoft Entra has a large …
Azure AD is very restrict to Microsoft tools only, although it's possible to use tools outside Microsoft, the security provided wasn't the best. In my case, where most of my company tools are outside Micrisoft, Okta is a very reliable option as it's neutral and compatible to …
Okta over Ukg Pro choosen just for simple and straight forward reason is SSO/MFA login ,security is been taken care. We have automated onboarding with Okta where UKG I feel is more inclined towards payroll stuff. So in all Okta offers flexibility where I can use multiple …
Okta’s ability to consolidate so many apps in one platform created a very user friendly work environment. It’s robust identity management and security features made it a standout choice for our company as we looked to simplify access management.
Okta and Auth0 are similar in a number of ways, but ultimately they serve different cases. Okta is likely the preferred option for scenarios where IT or other admin staff need the ability to control account access for other staff members.
It’s conditional access and Zero Trust policies give us strong security control without complicating user experience and we no longer require on-prem AD set ups, which is a huge plus for us due to its cloud directory capabilities.
The only others services that I use for password storage are my google work account and Apple iCloud. Overall, I'd rank apple the lowest . Gmail is the most convenient in terms of quickly going to a site and having the password prefill. Where Okta is better than Google though, …
We selected Okta since as I mentioned earlier, speed means a lot to our account. The reason behind that is because it enables us a lot faster and utilize our apps better. Do not get me wrong, PingOne is a great app, its just that the app itself does not have the processing …
Substantial ease of accessibility, usability, and compatibility, along with superior platform of integration towards a simplified central hub feature set.
We use the Twilio Authy app to authenticate for our payroll/benefits application, and prefer Okta to the Twilio application. It is more user-friendly and easier to install and manage.
Okta is worlds better than any other IDP Solution that I have come across. Their documentation on integrations is STELLAR, their support staff is knowledgeable and awesome, their service is reliable and just works.
Okta provides a better user experience and a portal to make things simple not only for the admins but also the customers. Compared to Entra and Duo Okta is light years ahead in innovation and user experience.
Previous to Okta, we did not have a central cloud IdP system, each app had it's own authentication and authorization internally. That led to a fairly messy and divergent situation where every system had a different method and look for authentication and authorization. …
We have no experience with other products. In the past we have considered to implement Google SSO and Apple SSO, we did some partial development, but we never released those changes.
Oracle IDCS is a true enterprise-level cloud solution to our organization's needs. Everything is so intuitive that is much easy to follow and learn. The Oracle support and documentation feature is excellent and makes our work easy to do. I see a bright future for this product …
I believe we had a quite fair RFP listing all our complex integration and being key on utilizing existing investments, the Oracle product met our requirements and the local partner presented that very well. With such combined synergy, the offering was appealing to be the …
Oracle's Identity Cloud Service works more in conjunction with the aforementioned. I think it works similar to Oracle Identity Management (OID) but seems a little more abstracted.
We have decided to replace this Oracle product with Sailpoint. We liked Sailpoint's access request system better, and it was much more lightweight (eg. did not take days to install).
The interface has really improved and modernized over the years. It integrates perfectly with Active Directory and can do just about anything you can imagine. It's speedy, too—large tasks don't take long at all. I've used this product for many, many years (over a decade) and have rarely needed support, but when I have reached out for assistance, they've been helpful. The price is fantastic for what you get. It can seem like a one-trick pony at first, but the more you use it, the more you realize what else you can do with it. ADManager Plus is chock-full of tools that you'd think Microsoft would include out of the box, but after 25+ years of Active Directory, it's clear they have no interest in doing so. ADManager Plus fills all the gaps left by Microsoft. Simple mass imports with automatic OU assignments, mass changes to existing accounts, etc. Some of this can be done through PowerShell, sure, but this makes it easy.
Should be well-suited for a SaaS business organisation as they have a lot of internal applications and need a role-based authentication system between the various teams, improving security and audit log system to account for any breaches. It integrates well with internal applications such as Salesforce and Oracle. Best when need of SSO.
We are using this for our resident facing applications. Areas they need to improve is building in more of the OIG functionality into their cloud service. This hinders us for managing identities that require multi-value attributes.
It is very good in the bulk user creation. With this tool, we can create a number of users in just a few minutes rather than following a long old process.
It is good for bulk user account modification. You can select a lot of users and make changes as per the requirements.
ManageEngine ADManager Plus is helping us a lot in the report generation of user accounts, passwords, groups, and other reports that are helping us a lot.
This tool also helps us with mailbox creation and shared mailbox creation
They need to improve their report in terms of modification, like you will not get a lot of customization options in the report.
In the password report if you are applying filter in Days since password last set and selecting the password change date from day 0 and again you want to select the Account status as Enable then you cannot do this.
If you have more than 1 domain and you are trying to modify users in both domains in a single attempt, you cannot do this.
I'm not sure it's really a room for improvement thing, but due to the granularity offered by Okta, sometimes it can be challenging to find exactly what you're looking for.
There was an instance in which we had issues getting SAML configured for an application. I feel this challenge was mostly user error (on our part) because we didn't realize the SAML instructions were SPECIFIC to each app integration and changed (codes) each time. We attempted to mirror the settings/configurations of an existing app (same app, but different domain). I think having a note somewhere that indicated that the instructions were unique to each integration would have saved us a bit of time. Again, I'm not sure this is really an issue with Okta though, more of a user learning curve thing.
Sometimes searching for things is a challenge (without the "Rockstar" add-in). For example, if you have a user group called "Okta_users_everyone", searching for "everyone" will not find it. You have to search for the beginning of the object name (not just any part of it). The ability to search partial or wildcard would greatly enhance search functionality.
We are very satfisfied with the software and when time permits, we hope to explore additional features we are not using. It has a lot of we ae not currently using due to staffing shortages.
Okta has a passion to provide secure and scalable identity solution. Their passion has come across as advocacy in a way that has deepened my knowledge of the field of authentication. I took identity for granted before but after seeing features such as external authentication I know that Okta can enable my business to reach new heights
It is very easy to use and provides so many functions we can do in Active Directory that's laid out in a nice UI. The bulk management and reporting features allows us to make changes and gather information from AD infinitely more effective that if we just used AD and PowerShell commands.
If users are trained properly, they can fully utilize the solution. We have only contacted customer care 2-3 times in the last 3 years. Once everything got set up according to DJSIR regulations that's it, Oracle Identity Cloud Service works flawlessly. We are currently managing 3 IDCS stripes for different teams and the ease of management is very noticeable.
The Okta Identity Cloud advertises 4 9's of reliability and I would go as far to say that it may even do better than that. As a true Global organization that operates in just about every region of the world, we have yet to have an issue with The Okta Identity Cloud that has impacted our business operations.
From my perspective, for the things that my group uses it for, Okta is very fast. It is as least as fast as the local password database methods that it replaces on our campus enterprise services. I do not believe that it slows anything down at all. In fact, not having to think too much about the login, because they all look the same, probably speeds things up somewhat.
This is one of their lacking points... Every time I have needed support the first thing they want to see is our log files. And then it can take days or weeks to hear back from them and sometimes you have to follow up yourself or they will just close your request. If you can actually get someone on the phone or a sessions scheduled to troubleshoot, sometimes you'll be lucky enough to solve your problem. We used to have a major new hire automation running in ADManager and it broke after updating the software. We went back and forth with them for a month or so and they were not able to resolve the issue, I ended up writing a PowerShell script and scheduling it to do the work that was being done before. This also allowed me to make the automation better than ADManager allowed.
We've had a few support cases over the years and every case has been handled by the Okta support team beautifully. We received clear answers to questions we had regarding setup and even were provided simple to follow guides on how to setup their product to use with custom applications.
The support for Oracle Identity Cloud Service is generally good. Nevertheless, it can take some time to get a response from the support team which creates initial frustration, and the customer will have to wait till the SR gets assigned to a support person.
We decided to use ManageEngine ADManager Plus due to the compatibility it had with our systems. We run a hybrid environment and ManageEngine ADManager Plus was the system that fit into our infrastructure the best. It also provides the most opportunity for growth in the way we want and does not require us to build on systems we are not yet ready to implement.
Okta is far superior in terms of integrations, user interface, automation, and connectivity. Additionally, Okta offers better support and availability, and a more robust solution across every capacity Entra competes in. Okta simply works, whereas Microsoft Entra has a large overhead that is difficult to use when configuring things.
Oracle IDCS is a true enterprise-level cloud solution to our organization's needs. Everything is so intuitive that is much easy to follow and learn. The Oracle support and documentation feature is excellent and makes our work easy to do. I see a bright future for this product and continue to see improvements in the product.
Being a cloud native application, The Okta Identity Cloud is extremely scalable and easy to setup. By integrating into existing directories and applications via standard techniques and protocols, it is very easy to both initially setup and add additional users as required. Once all the necessary integrations are setup, it's a simple rinse and repeat process to onboard additional users (which can be automated with imports as well)
The built-in reports and queries are invaluable. You simply won't have this information in a vanilla AD environment.
The ease that you can access the information you need about your environment is outstanding. You can access the information you need quickly so you can make better decisions on managing your business.
The ability to easily designate techs with limited access is great. This offloads menial administration duties from your higher level techs so your not paying high level folks to do redundant tasks.
