NetSupport Manager is amazing for WAN and LAN networks and for all kind of companies that want to connect and support users fast. Whether they have access to a console and to IP or PC name quick connect to all computers, or to servers to perform support operations, deploy software, and chat with users, NetSupport is well suited.

VNC Connect
VNC Connect works really well on computers connected both within the same local area network and when located outside the office connected via the internet. With VNC Connect, you can remotely access a computer and perform all functions as if you're sitting right in front of it. It also can be used as a training tool to show the person sitting at the computer the steps to take to execute and perform a task. I would not use VNC Connect to remotely access a computer that has the screen left on to perform confidential tasks on it that I don't want others to visually see. Unfortunately, there isn't a method like when you are using Windows Remote Desktop Services where the screen is blanked out to prevent others from viewing your connection.

- Visually see their computer screens and the information needed to properly respond to their questions.
- Transfer files that I might need to work on their financial statements and corporation income tax returns or other reports that they may require. Also to upload files from my computer to update their records.
- Help train clients to use their own accounting software appropriately while having them see first hand on their screens the use of the software interface and how the data is entered and processed by their software.

- Its a pretty straight forward product - I would like to see more tools with a "wow" factor.
- Panel colors are blah - I would like more eye-catching colors.
- A more consistent look with all platforms - like Mac & PC.

VNC is a solid product for the price. It simply works and its reliable across different platforms. Some products state they work well in the Mac environment but don't deliver. This one does what it says. Connections are reliable, but of course, this depends on internet connections. The product works well over wireless connections as well. It delivers on what a remote tool should deliver on. My technicians are happy with the product and customers appreciate the ease of use when letting us connect to their systems. Some also appreciate the remote support while they are multi-task.

VNC Connect is a reliable product that has been around for a long time. It is reasonably priced and works well in the Mac & PC environment. When you have a small team that supports many users we need tools that we can rely upon and that will get the job done on the first try. Many customers appreciate the quick assistance and can multi-task while our team works on their computer issues remotely. From a customer service point of view, this tool gives us transparency and efficient effectiveness.

The training is very informative, quick and to the point. All of the details one would need are present so the user doesn't have to go searching for additional information just to use the application. The layout of the training was also neat and concise, some of the other training sessions for other companies I've done in the past were confusing and not well thought out, this one is much more superior

I think NSM does not have a rival when you truly use all of its capabilities. It has the flexibility of an application developed for multiplatform support and allows you to remote control any device at your reach. It has a file transfer feature that truly works and a complete system inventory in which you can set up smart alerts, voice, and chat capabilities to connect with the affected user.

If you do not have a working internet connection, you can rule LogMeIn out as it is not a viable solution! NetSupport is fairly more advanced and has many more capabilities that VNC does not support so this is not a fair comparison!
