This can be used for different industries, healthcare, IT, retail or any company with a customer service line, big or small. if i had to ask, i would say "Do you have any type of filing system that you use?" "anything where you are keeping track of personal/ business information." Do you need access to information on a day to day basis?If they do , then this can be used , especially if you need to keep track of the numbers; we like how we can see if are things going up or down.

Zapier

I would definitely recommend trying Zapier out because there aren't very similar options on the market and the free version lets you experiment with most features. Once you've tried it, I recommend upgrading to a paid version if you want to use it professionally because it's the only way you will have access to support,multi-step Zaps, and integrations that run in pseudo-real-time. Zapier is a service that's intended for users with any background and it works with a wide array of popular applications, so any organization using the web as part of their workflow will benefit from adopting it.

  • Customization - we are able to make Nutshell make the most sense for our company and processes
  • Scheduling - the ability to set tasks allows us to never forget a follow-up call or email
  • Tags - allow us to prioritize leads and segment our customers and potential customers
  • Communication - the ability to tag colleagues in notes for callbacks or updates to accounts is very helpful to keep everyone on the same page
  • Email History - being able to blind copy all our email communication to Nutshell, allows us to have email threads and notes all in one place

  • Zaps are incredibly straightforward to make and test.
  • Support in a 1:1 way, in addition to great documentation, even for free users.
  • With a fine point on it - they make something that seems difficult into something that isn't just easy, it's delightfully easy.

  • SWOT analysis --- currently we put this in as custom fields but they don't link up at all and are hard to read/navigate. We also use the custom fields for other information we want to capture. It would be nice to build those in so they can show the info as bullet points or something --- currently paragraph form and hard to find things at a glance.
  • Funnel could use some work. Only shows how many leads are currently in that part of the pipeline which doesn't give us a good historical comparison.

  • Not all tools are on the platform...but that is not necessarily their issue.
  • Some of the triggers and hooks are limiting...I don't have full access to all of the ways to get the data out of systems as I hoped.
  • Sometimes it is hard to keep track of the different connected systems.

Overall the system is very well thought out and organized. The issues that I run into are likely the result of supporting connections to so many different systems and are generally easily worked through. But it worth being aware of if you are hoping to have non-technical people creating business critical connections between systems.

Before we purchased Zapier, I contacted support and asked them if Zapier could support my intended workflow (this is actually a selection on their support form - awesome). Within 2 hours, I was contacted by a support team member who seemed sure it would work, but granted me premium access for 2 weeks to try it out for myself. Sure enough, it did! Ever since then, support has replied rapidly to any problems I have experienced and answered my questions within a few sentences.

Alternatives Considered

Well, my team had trials for these others and they all prefer Nutshell for different reasons. I prefer it as I need a user-friendly software to help me out as I am not a big tech guy. I have heard others in the office say things like they like the way activities are scheduled better, or the way nothing ever gets accidentally erased if they hard crash or power goes out.

Microsoft Flow and Automate IO were both alternatives we looked into but fell short of our requirements. From a pricing and ease of use standpoint Automate IO definitely fit the bill but didn't integrate with Salesmate so that was a bust. As for Microsoft Flow it's also an excellent alternative and a very stable platform however it only offers a select amount of integrations ultimately pushing me to go with Zapier

  • Nutshell's mobility has provided significant ROI for me since we've started using the CRM. I've been able to provide immediate feedback to clients, schedule meetings from the field with confidence, and much more.
  • Nutshell's tagging features have helped us craft custom mailing/email lists. We struggled to do this in the past.

  • We don't have exact numbers but our process efficiency gains have been massive since we started using it three years ago.
