We use it in a very simplistic implementation so we do not push the boundaries of the system. It suits our needs perfectly. We have, in the past, suffered through a lack of internal support for the system - just to help with the little questions that pop up from time to time.

  • Although not currently disruptive to our programs, send/action run times across assets and automations can delay campaign execution for those campaigns that come up last minute and need to launch ASAP
  • Although reporting continues to improve, we typically utilize reports in Salesforce as well as Pardot to show results and trends across campaigns

There have been a couple of service incidents over the past few months. I'm not sure if it has to do with Pardot integrating their infrastructure with ExactTarget. However, they responded well with proactive communication and a debrief as to what happened.

Pardot support is tremendous. The knowledge base and in-application targeted help articles and videos are thorough and straightforward. If those don't do it, Pardot has office hours every business day with members of the team available to answer anything. I've called twice and they are incredibly helpful.

The trainers at the Pardot user conference (Elevate and Connections) were very knowledgeable and presented the material well. Again, the content was targeted to more of a new user audience, and was not really relevant for folks who had been using the product for 2+ years.

Pardot's online training touches on all topics briefly and vaguely without much indepth exploration into how a final outcome could look, such as Nurturing Campaigns, Email templates, landing page templates, etc...The only true way to uncover Pardot's full capabilities is to have Front End design and coding experience. Without this key skill set, I would not recommend Pardot to another business.

Pardot

Pardot syncs more seamlessly with Salesforce so when new leads come in, my team better understands where they came from, which in turn allows us to better qualify them, manage them and nurture them. Pardot has a higher email deliverability rate than HubSpot which has lead to an increase in emails opened and marketing collateral downloaded. Pardot's automated email drip campaign is easier to set up, which decreases the amount of time I need to set up running marketing campaigns. Pardot has greater customer service, on-boarding/training and on-going support.

  • We experienced faster lead conversion almost straight away after utilising Pardot tracking. It gave us insight we'd never had before.
  • More information about a lead's activities means Sales can have far more targeted conversations.
  • We've begun using Pardot for helpdesk and support communication on top of our marketing and sales. It's a game changer in this respect.
