This software is great for the construction industry. Especially if you are doing in-home estimates. For example, it would be the best option in the industry, to my knowledge, for an HVAC, electrical service or plumbing business. They are always listening to their customers and evolving based on the customer's feedback and needs.

WorkflowMax is very well suited for a business that wants to track time billed by project, to have an easy way to generate invoices for those projects, and to keep track of overall productivity and invoice status. I imagine it can also be adapted to different types of businesses that deal in goods rather than services and time. I am not sure for which scenarios or businesses the program is not appropriate.

- Allows for fairly simple or elaborate project forecasting depending on the complexity of the job. This allows us to track time by a single project or multiple phases.
- Time keeping and coordination with invoicing software has increased our firm's ability to issue timely and accurate invoices to clients. Has ability to break down projects in numerous ways to meet the needs of our various clients. This means we can invoice by project, phase, milestone, or dollar increments.
- Interface is clean and easy to follow. The easier it is to use the fewer mistakes that are made when entering information. This is greatly appreciated.

- When looking at the job distribution it isn't to scale and it isn't printable.
- Sometimes it is confusing as to where you might find something until you realise there are multiple points of access.
- When a job is assigned the whole task is assigned and if you work on it before the task is allocated to you, it isn't possible to enter those hours. It would be better if the employee could choose the task they did and enter the hours and then it sent back to an approver to have it added.

simPRO gives you the dedicated person you can email/call, they have chat, you can file a case, and they provide videos for pretty much everything. We can train on it via their videos; it's excellent.

It is better than using Zendesk or trying to custom build a system. Zendesk and so many other tools are so focused on the sales aspect of things and don't give you enough back end options like job costing, inventory management, etc. It is the best tool I have used for solar project management thus far.

Loan Assistant is a virtual business, entirely operated in the cloud. We do not have an office. Team members are located in diverse locations such as Munich, Canada and Sri Lanka as well as various locations in Australia. WorkflowMax is what ties us together. The fact that the billing is so tightly integrated into the workflow is a great strength. At this time we have been using Max for 6 years and plan on keeping using it. We have evaluated Slack but it didn't work for us.

- Biggest impact has been automation of client invoicing. Prior to using WorkflowMax, invoices were generated in Word, usually a template from a prior invoice to that client. Now the invoice is generated in WorkflowMax, saved as a draft, exported to Word, uploaded to Microsoft SharePoint, then shared with the invoice author. This has cut down on mistakes and unnecessary admin time.
