Teams Manager
Chose Teams Manager
Similar teams meeting management software with totally different functionality. It was used briefly in a one-off trial but was never implemented due to the dominance of Teams and Zoom. It's essential to use software that most people can access, or at least quickly obtain, for …
Chose Teams Manager
As skype for business was getting outdated so we prefer Microsoft Teams over Skype.
Chose Teams Manager
Our general contractor for the build-out selected MT over Zoom. It was not our choice. Zoom has a bit more movement with background screen images and vid quality but it's all fairly close.
Chose Teams Manager
We still use it for our one-off situations, but mostly stick to Teams as it is much more user-friendly and allows better sharing capabilities through virtual meetings. Skype is not as easily customized, so it's a no-brainer to use Microsoft Teams and Team Manager for all of our …
Chose Teams Manager
As I mentioned before, we switched to Teams from Skype because it was more reliable. We did not experience interruptions in service especially for those departments working remote.
Spanning Backup
Chose Spanning Backup
Spanning Backup for G Suite backs up Google Drive files and Unitrends is used for more VM infrastructure.
Chose Spanning Backup
Very similar in features and setup. Spanning Backup for Salesforce was more affordable. After getting set up during the trial we were able to get that trial extended as we negotiated cost and contract and continued to use the same trail as production paid version as they …
Chose Spanning Backup
Spanning is superior to Veritas Backup Exec. Often Backup Exec would fail due to the software itself or the premise-based backup media or drive. Veritas Tech Support/Knowledgebase was not helpful in troubleshooting the failures. Also, Veritas was unable to back up our then …
Chose Spanning Backup
I've not looked at any other products as this met all my needs and was recommend to me.

For different projects in a big organization different teams can be formed and thus their internal tasks assignments can be done there. It is easy to manage, assign tasks to people in a particular project. People or team leads in multiple projects can share different channels thus maintaining different projects. Users should be refrained of creating new teams just for fun purpose etc. to avoid to much chaos.

The only issue we have is when we remove the user from the integrated AD group we need to manually go back and remove the licensing, but there is the option to have archived accounts as well for temporary holds in case we want to disable the account in 365/AD, but need to hold on to the backups for a little longer.

  • Manage users - it's easy to manage owners of team sites, along with members and guests.
  • Analytics - being able to review how each team site and the channel is being used is extremely helpful and can point out areas of weakness or concern.

  • Branding of Microsoft Teams over Skype Needs done.
  • Making calls through Teams has not been very successful.

  • Thus far, Spanning has completely fulfilled all of our backup needs, and we are completely satisfied.
  • While we haven't needed technical support yet, we were told that this is conducted via email rather than via phone.

Usability
It is a well-designed and polished application on Teams. Most of its issues stem from Teams UI and UX, which could be improved further. However, if you can fit the team manager to your needs, it can become a very powerful tool to manage data flow.

It was hands down, one of the easiest solutions to implement overall and has some of the best features also compared to other similar products from many SaaS backup companies. We also integrated the Dark Web monitoring too and it has helped us secure accounts we didn't know had issues, so has improved our security posture too.

I would like a retention option on the data, but since this feature does not currently exist, I give it a 9. Everything has met our standards and needs and we are now freed up from the manual efforts it was taking for backing up Salesforce using the out-of-the-box features of Salesforce.
