I have been an AnyDesk software user since 2020, after the coronavirus outbreak. The software has always made it so easy for me to connect to my workplace computer remotely. It also allows us to collaborate with our teams and hold online meetings flawlessly. AnyDesk is easy to use and offers standard remote access features. The product is both on-premises and cloud, and allows screen sharing.

  • It's complicated to have to wait for permission to be granted again after the connection is lost; ideally, it would allow quick reconnection when you were recently connected to the client
  • Sometimes it doesn't allow you to manipulate the equipment; you have to wait for them to accept the extended rights permission, and sometimes that part is complicated for clients

AnyDesk is used for remotely accessing the computers either for accessing on-site business equipment to enable remote work for employees or to troubleshoot tech issues. AnyDesk can help business save high IT support platforms cost by enabling secure remote access to machines across multiple sites. My use case includes remote access for technical support for end users and managing cross site servers.

Pros

  • Works well even if the network becomes sluggish
  • Cross platform support. I can be used on mobile as well. Certainly helps a lot if I am travelling and not near my laptop/PC
  • File sharing

Cons

  • If remote computer has dual monitor setup, we have to switch between monitors manually. there should be an option to view both screens
  • The GUI should be able to handle multiple tabs instead of opening separate window for each instance
  • lacks ability to view remote system info like uptime, IP address, hostname etc

We have clients in UAE and we provide tech support to them from Bangladesh with the help of AnyDesk. We remotely support the technical issues of a large client in UAE and solve their tech issues over the internet. This is a ticket based system and the client has ove 800 employees distributed all over UAE with laptops and PCs. For any tech issue in those devices, we support remotely.
