AnyDesk is an appropriate software for use by us to resolve technical ticket tickets made by users of the organization. Whenever there is a problem or request to install something on the workstation, IT is triggered and we use this tool to resolve the online and remote ticket. Service is fast, agile and we use it to install software, printers, check files, shares, windows settings, and other things.

TeamViewer

I could have picked more than 8 for this. I like TeamViewer a lot and
it's been a life saver in many moments, either in my work or my personal
life. I live in a different apart of my family and many times I have to
remote into my mother's laptop, many other programs I tried did not
allow me to get full control over my mother's laptop, when TeamViewer
did.

  • Easy to use.
  • You can choose an alias for your machine instead of a number ID.
  • It has a good mobile app.
  • It does not consume much RAM or slow down the machine upon startup.

  • The platform does not use a lot of system resources both when being used and not being used. This is really good to help not interfere with someone trying to be productive when working on their computer.
  • It is really easy to install from an install standpoint. It doesn't really require much in the way of in-depth configuration to get the platform up and running.
  • It provides timely updates to the platform, whether these be patches, or regular platform updates. Also, updates are pushed down to the desktop platform in an efficient manner, meaning it really doesn't require much on the user's part to be too involved in running these updates.

  • The user's have capabilities to disable it so when we try to do a remote session, it shows user offline. It would be nice to have the administrator control over it.

  • For my/our use, we would be happy to have a less costly version of Team Viewer that would give us remote access only.
  • Two problems that we have experienced have to do with the company itself, and not so much the product: (1) Automatic renewal and they make it (almost) impossible to cancel, unless you contact them at least a month prior to renewal. (2) It is very difficult to reach Customer Service.

As long as I continue to provide remote support for my clients, it's a no brainier. For what I pay out, I probably make it back tenfold in the ability to provide remote support from wherever and whenever. Not to mention the saved gas money for a fix that only takes 5 minutes but it takes you 20 minutes to get there. As my business continues to grow, and I support more and more clients, my need for TeamViewer will only grow.

AnyDesk is a complete solution for remote access and control. AnyDesk provides better navigation and UI when compared with other similar software. AnyDesk helped me a lot at times when I've been working from home. The only disadvantage I found is when the network connection is weak. It needs to be managed properly.

I have used it for years but I can easily have someone else install it and be using it within minutes. It’s very intuitive and the information I need from a client is obvious to them so it’s easy to get that information from whoever is operating the client machine.

I didn't have any technical problems and I didn't suffer from bugs or errors. Customer service has improved a lot and I no longer need to leave the office to go to the user's computer. With AnyDesk I install and remove programs, printers, scanners, settings in general. Screen sharing is excellent and without delays. Overall, I recommend and approve AnyDesk.

I have not needed to contact TeamViewer support much in regards to the software not performing like it is supposed to. The only reason that we contact support is to get the license keys for our updated software. We always get a response in a very reasonable amount of time with the new license keys included.

I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Again, 5 if for neutral.

AnyDesk is a low-storage device so you can tell the client to download it anywhere you are connected with the internet and it will get installed very quickly. The screen sharing in this application is very clean and resolution quality is high, you can only access once the client device accepts it, which means a secure remote access from this application.

TeamViewer

TeamViewer is far superior to LogMeIn Pro for file transfers and
remote copy and paste. I believe LogMeIn Pro has the same capabilities, but using
them is awkward and not intuitive. TeamViewer's screen scaling, display quality, and multiple monitor support is far better than LogMeIn Pro and VNC Connect, especially
for large, 4K displays.

  • Easy access to client devices which is a very positive impact on our institute.
  • According to overall business objectives this has helped us have frequent and easy communication with our customers to tackle issues.
  • Negative impact is nothing but only a minor thing is that you need to be connected every time with the internet.

  • Before TeamViewer went to a subscription model, its initial high cost paid off over time. While the initial investment was high, the return on it paid off over the course of a couple of years.
  • With the subscription-based model, for a small business, the high cost may not be worth with the investment.
  • For a large business, or a business who relies heavily on remote tech support, the high subscription cost may be worth it.
  • Because TeamViewer is subscription based, a business must calculate how much money it will make on remote support vs. how much TeamViewer actually costs.
  • In my personal business, I have moved to a competing platform as a result of TeamViewer's shift to a subscription - the investment was no longer cost-effective.
