Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it mainly for marketing automation tasks and CRM analysis. It gives us powerful overview for our omnichannel actions and to verify in all channels how well we do perform. Loyal customers database analisys, customer' flow, retention etc. is possible within one solution. Also it allows to use those data within google and meta environment to enhance your marketing performance. Obviously it helps also with communication as well (newsletters, text messages, on-site personalisation, etc.) can be done in one solution. Highly recommended.

Likelihood to Recommend

it is the best of enterprises solution and (probably) still cheaper than SAP/salesforce, when does most of the job. Probably you may not customize it as much as salesforce, but the question is whether you need to. From my perspective is the best solution for mid-size organisations with high coding and ecommerce skills, big customer database and retail sales. For corporations probably it may not be enough, although from my perspective customizing everything is not solution as well (like salesforce offers).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Bloomreach to power our communications to our customers, and to provide personalised experiences across multiple online and offline platforms. The main reason we chose to use Bloomreach was because we have an omnichannel business with multiple stores, plus an e-commerce website. Bloomreach allows us to use data from across multiple channels to power customer journeys, ensuring that our customers get a seamless experience no matter which channel they choose to shop in.

Pros

  • Ingests data from multiple online and offline sources
  • Makes it easy to create complex customer journeys using custom data related to your business
  • Enables deep personalisation of communications to communicate effectively

Cons

  • Improve introduction to Bloomreach-specific terminology such as running aggregates. These are really powerful but can be difficult to understand
  • Introduce more options for report exporting - it would be good to be able to schedule reports to send to different email addresses

Likelihood to Recommend

One scenario Bloomreach is particularly suited for is omnichannel abandonment campaigns. We have scenarios that look whether a customer has been into one of our stores, and then if they are subscribed, we can send them more information about the products they have viewed. That wouldn't be possible without Bloomreach.

Another scenario that Bloomreach is well suited for is price drop - we can alert users that an item they've viewed has dropped in price, and this has been a really successful campaign for us.

We use Bloomreach Commerce Experience Cloud for the Engagement pillar - the use case for onboarding with a new platform was wanting a platform that allowed us to access and manipulate our own data easily and without support from the business insight team. Bloomreach Commerce Experience Cloud allows us to do this with access to all customer events then build meaningful reports/ dashboards of the back of this that allow us to make informed decisions quickly. We also wanted a tool that made life easier for the CRM team - quick campaigns builds that were consistent across all channels.

Pros

  • Customer service - the whole team are very involved in the account and don't just leave you with one CSM once you've onboarded
  • Flexibility - very open to feedback and suggestions on product improvements

Cons

  • Platform costs driven by events - if forecasting is not accurate or more and more features and events are tracked costs need to be closely monitored

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited in that Bloomreach Commerce Experience Cloud are responsive and flexible - very important to us as a very fast paced company

Bloomreach is essential for our omnichannel strategy across all available channels. We utilize Bloomreach for omnichannel communication across all available channels. At the same time, it helps us evaluate the success and performance of our campaigns. Bloomreach is also a great asset when it comes to creating and defining audiences for Meta Ads, thanks to its seamless and simple integration.

  • Easy work with customer attributes.
  • System for data aggregation and calculation of various metrics in the customer lifecycle.

Cons

  • The system is designed predominantly for e-commerce. With other businesses, it is sometimes necessary to create a custom solution or a workaround.

Likelihood to Recommend

If a genuine 360-degree view of the customer is needed, BR is the ideal choice. It manages to combine all data into clear sections, based on which great campaigns can be created. You can plan dynamic or static campaigns for all channels with a preview. The visual builder also makes the work much easier. On the other hand, it requires the implementation of all systems and potential data adjustment. It requires some effort for one to learn how to work with all sections. Reporting, in particular, is a bit more complicated.

We are using Bloomreach XM 15 as of now (upgrade to 16 in progress). The platform is the core of the organization to store the content that is exposed to our end users. The challenges faced were mainly: internationalization, performance, and usability.

Pros

  • Extension points make easy to implement customer requirements.
  • Support team is awesome. The most helpful team I've worked with when calling for help.
  • Maintenance.

Cons

  • Lucene indexing phase, when starting from scratch, can take a really long time if the content quantity is large.
  • Apache Wicket makes debugging errors a nightmare on occasion in the frontend.
  • A solution to create document types that are complex and maintainable.

Likelihood to Recommend

Definitely well-suited to manage the content for any organization. On top of that, the fact that there are many channels to expose the content and that they are easy to use, makes it even better.

The way I have used Bloomreach, and will continue to use Bloomreach, for personalisation is especially using predective AI to determine which products and brands should be in each email (personalised recommendations). Not only that, but also using AI to determine when the email should be sent (both at what specific time but also after how many days since purchase for example).

  • Reporting help functionality

Cons

  • Funnel reporting (not sure how to use this properly? Seems like there is very few options in there)
  • Structure - would be nice to be able to create folders in 'Scenarios' and 'Email Campaigns' for example. Initiatives does not work as well.
  • More email templates

If you are looking for a CDP that has it all for retailers, Bloomreach is the go to option. You'll get amazing customer insights, ambitious reporting functionalities and AI to help you set it all up. For retailers that needs to stay relevant for each customer, the predictive AI in Bloomreach can make a huge impact on your business.
