IBM Cloud Object Storage can be used to store practically limitless amounts of data. It is commonly used as storage for web sites and mobile applications, data archiving and backup, enterprise file services, and analytics. Flexible storage class tiers with a policy-based archive lets users manage costs while meeting data access needs. We have been using Cloud IBM Storage for 1 year to back up with Veeam and among other daily uses.
The environment is safe and stable and demonstrates excellent performance.

File storage that adapts as your infrastructure scales
We use Cloud Object Storage to store documents that are uploaded to our web application. We also use it for archiving internal files large and small, such as backups and media files. We primarily use it because there are no limitations on the amount of data we can store and because it has auto expiration features that will delete older files based on a date.
- Stores both short term and long term files.
- Auto scales based on our usage.
- Auto deletes older files.
- Searching for files by keyword could be better. Currently one can only filter by prefix.

Previously, we [had] servers with pre-defined configurations and resources. But when data grows, it's difficult to store and manage data, [so] we come to a solution that IBM Cloud Object Storage resolved our issue. It provides flexible services to store and maintain data with all-time availability. [No], we no need to worry about data backup and data availability for users.

The best data storage option!!
As we work in information technology department, there is a lot of unstructured data in our organization to manage and to store it IBM Cloud Storage helps us ease the process.
- Managing unstructured data.
- Helping us deal with lot of data with the help of multiple petabytes.
- Accessing data on the cloud becomes easy.
- Cost is one the major fields where IBM Cloud Storage can improve.
- The UI of the applied storage is a bit complex.
- Overall there are not much issues I face.
For multinational companies, we use IBM Cloud [Object] Storage for regional and cross-region cloud storage. And that with a lot of data. We ended up "trying" IBM for having servers in specific countries and we wanted to lower the transfer times of data. This with the options to make private clouds and public clouds, to make specific files accessible, on [specific] locations based on geodata.
- Security - We did many tests with many cloud solutions and IBM performed in the top options
- They have a cold vault service that is perfect for backups
- Easy to scale
- Easy to setup with multiple devices
- The speed, this was a important part, but we still have many desyncs.
- Setup with specific rules and data migrations can be a hassle.
- The UI can be daunting, it needs another look from UX perspective.
We have used several IBM Cloud products. IBM Cloud Object Storage allowed us to use a solution for unstructured data storage within the ecosystem of our other products. Most systems, including ours, has significant unstructured data, so finding a scalable solution for this data, and APIs to read and write this data, was paramount.

With the proliferation of cloud computing, object storage is being widely adopted for the management of unstructured data, and analysts estimate that this will represent the majority of all data globally in the near future. As a researcher in machine learning, I have huge data sets I use, for example, the TUH EEG Corpus, the world’s largest
publicly available database of clinical EEG data, comprising more than 25,000
EEG records and over 14,000 patients. I use this dataset in my study.

Efficient Cloud Server and Data Storage Platform
IBM Cloud Object Storage is used across our organization in each department to store data and transfer files. It has helped us to work on our workloads and save most of our files in a safe and secure platform. We used to lose a lot of data before we deployed this platform from unnecessary circumstances but since we deployed this tool everything has been running smoothly.

Best usage review of IBM Cloud Object Storage
We use IBM Cloud Object Storage mostly in the IT department, but the finance department also has access. We use the platform to train new employees so that they get used to cloud storage services. The main reason why we opted for IBM Cloud Object Storage is that it is easy to use, access data, scale, and backing up data is also straightforward.

- Backup versions in the cloud are extremely valuable.
- It provides each and every using details, that is available online.
- Data Storage has a limitation of 200 MB, when uploaded trough console.

I have used IBM Cloud for several companies as an example of performance in handling data of different nature. I have applied it mainly in the analysis of sales of commercial chains and the restocking of their stores, both with great results.
The main impact is noted in the response time to prepare the queries and for subsequent operations with the data.

The IBM way
I am new to Cloud services and I feel the experience is very user-friendly and a lot of options are available for even a free user. So far loving the experience. The Object storage creation has pay-as-you-go options, a subscription option, and a free object creation option. For a learner, this is the best place to just get the feel of it.

- We can choose even payed service for more capacity
- Region and data centre options are available
- On premium account you can get best support
- I think file uploaded should be allowed to edit or modify
- There could be more options for a free account

A great service and good value for money.
I am creating my own pipeline for some bioinformatics analysis and IBM Watson studio comes in handy when I need high computing resources to train my machine learning models. There are other features of Watson studio which I am yet to explore. However, so far, I have really enjoyed using it in training my machine learning models.

- Navigating the platform is cumbersome and a simplification would definitely improve user experience.
- More tutorials on its usage in the field of bioinformatics with cancer and general OMICS data analysis.

Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage
I find IBM Cloud [Object] Storage as a very cost-effective solution. I would greatly recommend it to someone who is about to start their cloud journey because of its flexibility in learning and easy-to-use interface. It is highly scalable as compared to traditional storage which is there on the market and it also can store up to a large petabyte & exabytes of data. Our organization uses the IBM Watson Assistance chatbot to help our customers better guide through our website. It greatly helps by solving our real-time customer's issues with ease. A few issues we faced while running the services were adding multiple concurrent connection operations. Apart from that, it's very reliable and a great service which IBM provides.

- Cloud storage delivers a cost-effective, scalable alternative to storing files on on-premise hard drives or storage networks.

IBM Cloud Object Storage - A swift and simple service for all your deep learning needs!
This service is being used exclusively within the Computing department at the university. It is being used as an alternative to students accessing machines in person as we have students that work remotely. This significantly reduces our outgoings on high end technology as we don't need to have 300+ machines with high end specifications.

Save yourself the pain and use anyone other than IBM
We were using IBM Cloud Object Storage for bulk storage solutions for data generated by research labs within the institution. We were targeting non-HIPPA data to interface easily with IBM Watson's cloud computing environment.
- Honestly, I don't have any examples of what it did well [from my experience].
- [I believe] they have horrific customer service. We tried multiple times to upgrade our account from pay-as-you-go to a subscription service. We were quoted for wrong parts multiple times and eventually chose to abandon the use of IBM Watson altogether, in favor of a different cloud computing service.
- [I feel] the use of Cloud Object Storage and how it interfaces with the notebook environment is clunky and awkward at best.
- [In my experience] the organization of objects within projects is also awkward and clunky.

We had large database of employee daily activity with 28 columns in table, we store the data in IBM Cloud Object Storage and integrated it with IBM SQL Query. The integration helped us to read, analyze, and store data in Cloud Object Storage with SQL. It is being used across the whole team.
